My comment had nothing to do with stealing Native American lands.

Who gets to risk his or her life going up there and removing the flag and then removing the 'nails' that were driven into the rock faces?

The tribes don't own it. And they don't exactly take pride in their land. Have you seen some of the reservations in Oklahoma? Casino would look great on top of El Capitain.

So it suddenly does matter how the govt obtains land?

You just want to use govt power to seize the lands you like, and not allow people the right to own land as they see fit.

It should be whoever put it up but I'm guessing someone with the park service.

Our ancestors owned slaves.

We were one of the groups that purchased black slaves from black slaves owners who enslaved their own people in Africa. True.

The government took the land, and who is going to take it from them? Whether we like it or not, nothing we can do about it.

Corporations and the government have always taken what they want.

Half to most African slaves were sold by their own.

Not really, they were generally losers of wars who were enslaved by the winners. Just as has happened with all of humanity all over the globe.

That statement is about as meaningful as saying Nazi Germany was enslaving and killing their own as they were all Europeans.

When the govt seized park lands, the uproar forced them to pass laws to give back the area of Jackson Hole, WY

When the govt seized OK to give to the Indians, they later passed laws to allow the boomer sooners to homestead

When Teddy seized a bunch of land, Trump came along and wants to rescind some of that grotesque action

John Thornton and Linda Heywood estimate that 90% of African slaves were sold by Africans to America.

If true, that's even higher than I thought.

I am glad she was fired but I do not lime people who intentionally mislead. That video of the freak is not the girl who was fired.

It was safer than traditional hunting

Hunters herded the bison and drove them over the cliff; this process would serve to break the buffalos' legs and render them immobile, though often still alive and in great pain.

Don’t know how you came to the conclusion that it was safer but it damn sure wasn’t humane.

The government seized Oklahoma to give to settlers.

Trump was not trying to right a perceived wrong. He intended to exploit the public land's resources to fund tax cuts for the elite.

Increased housing was also part of his plan, to which I am conflicted. Conserving land is important, but so is housing.

Herding Bison over a cliff is less dangerous than angering them by spearing or shooting with arrows.

Nothing about hunting is humane, and no one should harm an animal unless it is to survive.

You mean you should only hunt that which you will eat?

Or... "The animal ws about to kill me, and would have had I not killed it first."

Sounds like Africans are real bad people for having owned so many slaves.

I eat meat. Not because I enjoy it(I do love the taste), but because it is the healthiest protein for my health.

I don't want to harm anything.
