re: Should Ilhan Omar be charged and then deported for treason?

Only if all of her husbands / extended family fill the rest of the plane. As a traitor, her ashes would go with them.

Let's hope that qualifies as Off Off Broadway?
Or it will give some of us a further way to define what NYC has become.

There doesn't seem to be a way to find out how many ONLY watched that and ignored the sporting event on either side.
The "B" at the end of the number, though, beggars belief.
Little kids know the meaning behind "in for a penny, in for a pound" even if the money names are meaningless.
If you are going to lie, lie bigly.

In Scotland, an attempt to enter a school was stopped
Posted by real turf fan on 3/2/26 at 8:22 pm
armed with two knives was stopped before he entered the kindergarden and then the school he was trying to enter. Two were injured by him.
So he broke into a shop and trashed the place, escaped to a building where he looked out, smiled (above) with the police looking up at him.

Released on his own recognizance? WTF? His own recog. is about as faulty as any we've heard of recently.
A 49 year old man causing a disturbance at a private school for teenagers and younger? What's to keep him from repeating ? Or worse?

.22 to the dog’s skull please
A collar-less Pitbull showed up at our farm and had already terrorized our close neighbor's yard dogs. Then it came to our house. We found that a .22 shot at the skull of said dog just bounced off the skull.
Other solutions were more successful..

Wow. Early on, I did appreciate the backwards kick to the little mut who wanted a piece of his ankle.
Any details of how he handled the dog when it was under him?

"Shia mosques in the US"
Well, damn it all. I never realized that the different factions of Islam would export their hatred of other factions internationally and that we (among others) would be having competing Mosques.
That makes the different flavors of protestant worship seem so civilized by comparison.

Edwards Plateau Chert.

Quality and Use: It is considered excellent, high-grade material for flintknapping. It was widely used in prehistory, including by Clovis-era hunter-gatherers, to create small, formal stone tools.
Heat Treatment: While often workable in its raw state, some varieties are heat-treated to enhance their, making them more glassy and easier to flake.

Do they still do the trail rides (many days) that terminate at the livestock show and rodeo? That used to be a generational celebration.
I was working in Calgary one summer at Stampede time. In the hotel, you could pick out the real ranchers and cowboys, just by the way they walked. And how well their boots were worn and really well cared for.

re: How to tell kids that it's time to put the family dog down?
Posted by real turf fan on 2/27/26 at 12:09 pm to CarRamrod
Like CarRamRod, a good friend came to the decision it was time to put Bo down. Bo had been with him going on 18 years and the kids were pre-teen.
He found that he felt it more than his boys did.

re: What is the most famous crime/murder in your area?
Posted by real turf fan on 2/26/26 at 9:16 am to GuidoVestieri
This was the worst near me.
It reverberates to this day.
My late SIL was in Coast Guard reserve with one of their Fathers. He came to her funeral to pay his respects. My niece saw him at a distance and wanted to go talk to him to tell him how sad she was for him. I told her not to, because he had come to do the normal thing and the right thing as if his world hadn't cratered. Just let him be there, that night, with his fellow reservists.
Second to those murders was a string of murder by "Zoo man" Husky. He killed prostitutes, a lot of them and had a dumping area on a dead end road created by I-40 on the east side of Knoxville.

Come on, man!
Do they expect some teenager who now has a couple of million dollars that he didn't have six months ago to keep track of days of the year and when and where the money started coming from.
The old I Don't know and I don't remember will be played loudly and often.
