I agree with others that the NRA needs lots of fixing, but I don't agree that the state of New York is the one to do it. New York's attorney general should not have the power to shut down a national organization.

So why doesn’t the NRA just form a new entity in a friendlier state and merge the old one into it?

New York would lose all leverage at that point.

This. I'm a life member and won't give them another dime until he's out and the NRA becomes transparent about how it/Wayne wastes membership money. GOA will step in and seamlessly fill the void.

I think you chose the one group to single out that actually is run well. It may have changed since I looked into it last, but I am not aware of anything that looks questionable. Maybe you meant wounded warriors?
