I think it’s weird she’s been made to be such a boogey man for the right. 1 house rep in a very small district who IIRC won her primary with like 5,000 votes. I care about as much about her as you do some random hard right rep from West Texas. That y’all are so easily triggered is funny though.

The older, establishment Democrats will treat her the same way they do Bernie, with zero respect. In all of Bernie's years in Congress he has authored only three bills that became law ( LINK). Alex from the Bronx will have a similar track record if she lasts that long.

we can hypothesize that the rise of naive useless politicians like ocasio is because trump alienated too many people he could have otherwise brought into the republican party. trump certainly moved many moderates away from the party. if he continues to be a douche bag he will alienate more reasonable people and strengthen the left. he needs to moderate his personality or dems will grab the middle

I read almost all of it. It's in the writing. She is calling for the full control of the means of production in the energy sector to the Federal government, and it actually goes further than that. I'm not concerned about this loon bag, but the issue is these ideas are becoming the new consensus in progressive circles.

I wonder how much appeal she actually has? She kinda seems to me like a marketing campaign, you know they got rid of the old model (whoever that guy was, can't remember) and rolled her out like new coke.
Hmmm wonder if they checked her with focus groups?
The question I have, is would she have any viability at running for any office without handlers, and I presume financing?
Oh wait, I bet she came up with her plan (whatever anyone thinks of it), all on her own.
Why I bet she can handle anything.
