I used to read The Economist. Not sure I consider it a reliable source of unbiased information. I wonder if they refer to all heads of state as Mr or Ms.

We are getting very close to the door-to-door combat part of this exercise. Who is going to do it?
Maybe the Kurds are on the way, who knows. But we need to find a way to arm civilian patriots en masse. Stat.

Iranians have flooded social media with dark humor and mocking comments about the delayed burial of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei after authorities on Wednesday canceled a planned procession and what they described as a public farewell to his body due to security concerns.

The United States and Israel killed Ayatollah Khamenei, and Xi Jinping’s decade-long project to build an alternative to the American-led order died with him.
For years, Beijing quietly assembled a network of dictatorships and client states designed to blunt American power. Iran supplied China with cheap oil and kept Washington bogged down in the Middle East.
Russia waged war on Ukraine with Chinese materiel support, a gamble that was supposed to cement a powerful anti-western axis but has instead bled Moscow into dependence on Beijing. Regional proxies from Lebanon to Gaza added just enough chaos to stop Washington focusing on China.
The Chinese Communist party (CCP) propped up Nicolas Maduro’s Venezuela, too, as it funnelled narcotics and other ills into America.

Opposition and social media reports indicate that IRGC, police, and Basij forces are spreading out across Tehran in small street-level units, avoiding large concentrations that could be targeted by airstrikes.
This calls for some Ukrainian styled drones, maybe in the hands of locals.

Massive Airstrikes in Western Iran
Reports indicate heavy U.S. airstrikes have hit the city of Sanandaj in western Iran, near the Kurdish border.
Local sources say more than 10 strikes targeted the Imam Ali military base in Dushan, with the facility reportedly flattened in the attack.

Azerbaijan’s president lashed out at Iran after the strike on Nakhchivan.
“This morning the Iranian deputy foreign minister called asking for Azerbaijan’s help to evacuate the remaining staff from their embassy in Lebanon because they could not do it themselves. I immediately ordered assistance and a plane to be sent. They even offered to pay, but I said it was not necessary.”
“And in return we get an attack on Nakhchivan carried out in such a dirty, cowardly and unmanly way. This stain will never be erased from their faces.”

Missiles, bombs and drones. Could use a lot more drones as the targets get to be finer grained.

I worked in Jubail Saudi during the Iran/Iraqi war, and met with a traveling water treatment vendor that had just come from Iran. He claimed there were thousands of Iranian infantry passing through to the front in the airport, and they were all carrying a carpet. He inquired about the carpet purpose and was told that is what is used to wrap the body to ship home for burial.

Iranians have cars. Soon we will see the the cars turning on the irgc foot soldiers as far told by hollywood years ago.
Some sniper groups on roof tops will have the morality police too afraid to walk the streets in uniform.
