I remember when I was in grad school. We had one grad student in Engineering from Nigeria (if it wasn't that place, it was one of its neighbors).
He was kind of ... freaked out by what he saw of the United States. Not by the opulent standard of living, but the way people behaved.

He was totally shocked by the attitude of the students, particularly black ones. He said something along the lines that if a student in his home country mouthed off to a teacher or acted in a disrespectful manner, they would probably get backhanded across the face. Never talked about anything else regarding the US and his reaction to it though.
I worked with a guy from Barbados once. I can assure you that he was not impressed with American blacks at all.
According to him, sometime in the early 1800's there was a slave revolt, and they killed all the white people on the island (think it was before the British ended the slave trade). Quite proud of it too.
He did seem a lot more well adjusted than the guys you see taking a knee in the NFL.

Decline in the family started in the 1960s with the war on poverty
Incarceration rate started to climb in the 1980s. And can you believe it happened ~18-20 years after the decline in the family? (Sarcasm) right when all those kids born in single family homes were reaching their teens years and years of peak violence. Who woulda thunk it

the FBI doesn't release the stats on a population adjusted basis. So infowars calculated those stats on a per 100k basis.
Did they do it correctly? frick if I know, but those are not "FBI statistics"

It wouldn't take long to perform such calculations. If you doubt them, test one or two on your own.

Probably some cultural issues (decline in religion, feminism, etc) as well. But to say it is due to incarceration rates is patently false and demonstrated in the graphs
