How many have been released promptly with little to no bail?

"hostile military takeover"
Not all the cities. Just the lawless liberal shitholes who have been deliberately allowed to go to seed as career politicians make their livings embezzling public taxpayer funds.

I'm just hoping you're only saying this because it's Trump. Hoping that you don't actually want the federal government to "keep citizens safe" by deploying the military to police US citizens.

Are there any cities that you don't want to seer the NG deployed to?

I’m not sure if you’ve been perusing the board this morning but pretty much everyone here thinks I’m more liberal than you because I’m not for the deployment of troops to our cities for routine police work.(Natural disasters or major riots would be a different story)
But I do take issue with your use of the phrase “hostile military takeover.” That’s not how I would describe what’s happening.

Do you feel like the President of the United States should deploy military to police all cities or states with crime?

It's hostile because it wasn't invited by local authorities.

What is the definition of "low?"
Is evidence of people walking the streets at night enough to prove that citizens feel safe doing so?

Any that lack the competence to police those jurisdictions themselves, absolutely.

Again, if local elected officials refuse to do their job (which is protecting their citizens) then the Federals should most certainly step in and assist them.

I have been vocal on this board for praising Governor Landry for deploying state troopers and national guardsmen to downtown New Orleans. This action has noticeably improved the touristy areas of the city.
Having seen the fruits of what such a policy can do even in a limited context, COUNT ME ALL THE WAY IN! Baton Rouge had 7 shootings Sunday morning. Our judges, police, and DA’s have abandoned the people to the criminal element. If they won’t do the jobs we elect them to do (because of political gerrymandering which keeps them in power while ensuring very few people get a real voice), bring in the troops. Arrest the judges. Arrest the mayors. Execute everyone involved in this nonsense. The chaos in our cities is 100% caused by corrupt government officials who refuse to do their jobs because they’re paid off to look the other way.
The same justice system that will find any excuse to fine you to oblivion will find ANY excuse to let a rapist or an armed robber go free. Any justice system which prioritizes window tint over rape is neither just nor a system which deserves to exist.

This is true. It is not true of Chicago or NYC. If he sends the guard into those cities expect major pushback.
What about Houston? Now that is a city with high crime but no mention of it? Strange.
