I thought Panetta's thoughts on Russia was pretty insightful. I don't like everything about him but he is pretty competent guy.

This. At least I feel like I'm hearing from an adult.

TT9, what's your opinion on Obama vs Hillary?

You can see the factions begining to get testy with one another as Hillary begins trying to distance herself from Obama. Give us the truth of whose side your on? Do the democrats see Obama as damaged goods and switch Hillary? What's the deal?

love them both. All candidates try and distance themselves from the other.

Obviously Hillary ran against Obama and lost and is currently trying to appeal to independents right now. Just one problem though. She accepted the SOS position under Obama, if her pride would've let her turn the position down she'd have more ground to stand on than she does now.

Agree, she is stuck being part of the foreign policy decisions. It's like either she wasn't doing anything at SOS or she was really involved in policy. I don't think anyone believes the "in between" game the Clinton's are trying to play.

Al Gore tried to be Bill Clintons Siamese twin when he ran.

Gore made many miscalculations. His biggest was distancing himself from WJC as "damaged goods". Clinton putting on the full court press in Florida would have put Gore over the top in 2000.

Only heard bits and pieces of it, but that was pretty brutal.

The thing is Panetta is so smooth, he doesn't look ugly doing it. He doesn't want to alienate the Party for Hillary, but wow it was pretty damning.

For those that paid attention, Panetta offered no red meat on Benghazi. Juxtaposing that segment against the rest of the interview, he is clearly carrying the Clinton banner.

He was killing Obama on every subject until the thing Hillary is associated with came up and he suddenly pulled up tighter than a snare drum.

He was very measured and somewhat sympathetic to Obama but the underlying theme was that Obama has absolutely no balls.
