Aishah Hasnie sounds like she may be wet reporting on Hegseth from Mar a Lago.

One of those texts she got was probably Hegseth telling her his room number.

He went to Harvard. Defaced his Harvard diploma on Fox & Friends because he said it was worthless.

Doesn't make him qualified to be SECDEF. I thought Trump had learned his lesson about putting people in positions over their heads. If Trump sees you on Fox and likes you, you're going to be a Cabinet Secretary.

He has zero executive experience from what I can tell so that could be a disadvantage.

I guess this is what I"m hung up on.

I don't know much about this dude other than he was in the Army at one time and a personality on Fox morning show on the weekends.

The Defense Dept. is a huge 'corporation' and it will take someone with some top shelf executive chops to run that behemoth

IMO off the wall pick but I'll hope it works out.

The last guy was a token DEI pick who moved from the General staff to defense companies to the Pentagon.

He was a disastrous pick.

Darth Raytheon was an utter disaster on the world stage.

yeah, not too sure about this pick. What experience does Hegseth have? Wasn't he an NCO in the Army at one time and a FOX news host? Does that qualify him for this important position?

Are you fricking kidding?

Following graduation from Princeton in 2003, Hegseth joined Bear Stearns as an equity capital markets analyst and was also commissioned as a reserve infantry officer into the U.S. Army National Guard

Also did a couple tours and a Fox news host.

Could be worse I guess...

I don’t have a problem with the pick, but I am laughing at the qUaLiFiEd hypocrites

I don't think you know what an NCO is, Captain America.

If you're trying to direct that at me, feel free to look at the fifth post in this thread.

Better than a stooge from the MIC/defense companies. Better than a General brass stooge. He's educated, has military bones, and has been successful in life. I agree, it's a wildcard pick because of his lack of executive experience. He seems like a high energy, motivated, military experienced, highly educated young man who has the mindset of "man let me in there and fix this shite." He's green and an outsider so there is obvious risk. But I like the potential.

Much better than a Pompeo, for sure, or some Raytheon executive.

I would have preferred Tulsi because she has political experience.

Just proves you have no idea what you're talking about.

Gabbard is a left wing loon from Hawaii, and Hegseth is a right wing Trump Sycophant from Fox

Defense Secretary is a position that you have to play down the line and have the balls to tell the President he's wrong. Too many lives depend on it.
