When a existing or newly elected Senator begins working on funding for his campaign run six years away on the first day in office .... You there is a problem. Instead of focusing on solving national problems, they are too busy running for office.
Should the Republican Party ever gain control of the House, Senate and White House again ....The first 100 days should involve inclusion of term limits. It's come to be the only solution for anything better than what exists today.

The geographic heart of American leftism is in the New England states. I doubt that there are many on here who would dispute this. I’ll not deny that the left coast is now a powerful epicenter of the left and maybe even ascendant these days, but New England was there first and it was there the hardest.
This goes right back to the days of the Puritans who were of course, very religious and who came to America expressly for the purpose of creating a city on the hill and bringing the kingdom of God into being. They had the blasphemous idea that they first had to create the kingdom before it would come into being. By the time of the American Revolution the explicitly religious impulse had largely burned itself out and they were transitioning to becoming universalists and Unitarians. But the idea of improvement remained. The idea that the world was imperfect and that the imperfection could be cured and must be cured by their actions remained.
The first American wrong that had to be cured before we could become a perfect society was slavery, of course. And abolitionism as centered in New England. Then it was temperance. And so on and so on and so on. In the 20th century communist ideology found a ready foothold and easily fused with this idea that mankind must be improved and sins must be purged continually.
It can be explained better than I just did. But, what I said used to be well known. You can read southern newspaper editorials from the years leading up to and during the civil war and they are full of references to the puritans and their intolerance.
America has and always has had a Yankee problem. The New England Yankee has been on a mission to make the country over in his image from day one. They’ll never stop agitating for “improvement”. They’ll never stop seeing those who disagree with them as “sinful” and “evil”. And it will never be enough. Just like the original Puritans would have never brought in the Kingdom of God, their ideological descendants will never reach social utopia.

It's annoying as hell.
Everything has been politicized.
I miss the simpler days, you know, about 4 years ago, when my buddies and I could hang out and shoot the shite about dc and marvel universe..and other nerdy stuff. But, my comic buddies became infected by the msm. For the last 4 years, everything out of their mouths is political shite, mainly about orange man bad. I had to stop hanging out with them.
I talk politics on here.. outside of this forum, I try to keep politics out of my life.

The old meaning of "Americanism" was solidly based upon Protestant values. At first, the USA itself was solidly Protestant. Then, sometime during the 20th Century, people grew less religious, but the VALUES remained woven within the fabric of our culture, even after the USA became solidly Secular Humanist (if not Atheist).
One theory of the social development of a Society like ours has it that these old Protestant Values would remain embedded in our culture, even after we were no longer mostly Protestant. These values would remain until they were replaced by a new set of values.
The process of "Replacement" has been underway for years, and, now it is become more apparent.
When OP says that Politics if the New Religion, he's correct. Leftist Political agendas and values have replaced the old Protestant values, within the fabric of the culture of our Society. This process of Replacement happened and continues before our very eyes.
I promised all of you that you would be live-action witnesses to profound changes in the progression of the development of US History. I promised you that this progression would be profoundly Leftist.
And so, here we are. The old Values are being replaced and Leftist Politics is the New Religion, because, frankly, the USA isn't a very religious people any longer - but, the question remains: Just how Leftist can they get?

Have you watched any of the documentaries on the Russian Revolution of 1917-1923? There's your answer. We are repeating history (mainly because we refuse to learn from the mistakes).

I have not, but, I'm familiar with the basis of your points. I agree that the progress of US History is now very apparently developing with some remarkable similarities of how the Leftist Revolutions of the past developed in those societies and cultures. Replacement of the values, mores and norms of the Old Culture were and remain key components of these developments.
I'm committed to being a mere observer and commentator. I'm not a Counter-Revolutionary. I'll remain faithful to the USA, no matter how Leftist it may become.

1. Belief Systems. A grouping of beliefs that explain the universe and humanity; the liberal worldview. CHECK

3. Central Myths. White supremacy, fascism, climate change, 27 genders CHECK
4. Ritual. Kneeling, "protesting", flag burning, rehearsed chanting CHECK
5. Ethics. Internalized ethics; and the belief that others who dont share your beliefs are unethical. CHECK
6. Characteristic Emotional Experiences. Fake Schumer tears, Pelosi tearing up a speech, emotional demagoguery CHECK
7. Material Expression. Wearing white in the House chamber, wearing African garb for photo ops, pussy hats, etc... CHECK
