TBH I suspect most of the people who are enthusiastically sure of Trump's Christian-ness are similar to Trump in that they embrace cultural Christianity as a rebellion to progressivism foremost.

Even in Twitter land it's pretty easy to spot the committed Christians who are also big MAGA types, because they're willing to break from Trump as dictated by faith. Someone like Allie Beth Stuckey comes to mind, among many others. They're very big Trump advocates, but they're Christian before they're MAGA.

Not very familiar with William Wolfe

William Wolfe is a wolf in dog’s clothing. He espouses “Christian nationalism” - this is directly contradictory to what Jesus Christ taught us for the kingdom of God and His will to be done on earth until His return.

Not as a nation-state but as a people who serve the heavenly King.

Throughout the history of the Church we’ve had “Christian” kings and emperors who persecuted other Christians for not believing as they did - iconclasm, arianism, etc.

This is a great example of why we should call only One good and holy and our King.

How

I don't think states are required to be Christian, I also don't think they're required to be secular. A civil magistrate that facilitates the work of the church is contrary to Jesus how?

Where does Jesus Christ or His Apostles ever teach that followers of Christ are to live/teach His kingdom on earth through civil authority? Answer: Nowhere in Holy Scriptures. Totally the opposite…Christ said render undo Ceasar what is his and to GOD what is His.

Think of the Saints who gave up all earthly positions as kings, governors, generals, officials instead of denying Christ and met martyrdom for His name in love - not threatening their enemies to blow them off the map with earthly authority.

I might be wrong, but I suspect the one you don't know is Voddie... and he's the best one of the bunch.

We're supposed to keep this stuff separate. It's not something that should be made into a crisis, but again, we're supposed to keep this separate.

How does rendering to Caesar what is Caesar's preclude a devout civil magistrate? In context it certainly doesn't command that we not elevate Christians to leadership who will exercise Christian judgment in said management and use their authority to serve Christian ends.

The issue is conflation. Which doesn't preclude Christian nationalism as espoused by Wolfe or others. Wolfe has released a pretty robust statement about his view of Christian nationalism, which I won't even full endorse, but I don't think it's unsound and doesn't resemble what you're talking about.

Long after I'm gone Donald John Trump will beatified as Saint Donald John Trump. We will have feast days in his remembrance under several potential monikers:

Saint Donald John Trump, Patron Saint of Resilience
Saint Donald John Trump, Patron Saint of Builders
Saint Donald John Trump, Patron Saint of Straight Talk
Saint Donald John Trump, Patron Saint of Nationalists

Even involved in an event as egalitarian as prayer, DJT still must be front and center.

It doesn’t and I never said it did.

Wolfe is not our Creator nor an Apostle nor a Father of the Church, so what he espouses holds no weight with me nor should it with you. There is no such thing as “Christian nationalism”. It’s like saying “Christian transgenderism”, “Christian communism”, etc.

The life is not in the label but in the fruit produced.

The role of a civil authority and a religious authority should not be conflated. An atheist king can levy you to pay taxes to build roads, raise an army, etc. A king who loves Christ can also do the same. What is the difference?

A king who loves Christ will use his authority to love ALL of his subjects with Christian love, charity and kindness, A king who doesn’t love Christ, will use his authority to love only those who love him as the winds blow.

I do not want to live under any theocracy no matter the intentions of those in charge. I serve Christ first and as Saint Euphemia famously said “one must obey the Emperor as long as his command is not against God; if his command is against God, not only don’t obey it, but oppose it.”

Indeed. A spiritual man needs no earthly rulers.

I get it, we have to have rulers due to the failure of humanity. But Youre never going to have a strong president who rules strictly as a Christian in the way people want.

In order to be beatified as a saint typically you need to be associated with 3 documented miracles. DJT already has two:

1. God helping him to win the 2024 election despite the weight of the entire satanic federal government Lawfare apparatus.

2. God moving his head to look at an immigration chart in Butler, PA and avoiding a bullet to the head from one of satan's minions.

3. To be determined.
