re: President's Authority to Declassify Does Not Extend to Nukes

So are you saying the President should have to go through the Administrative State to exercise powers granted to him under the Constitution?
He has the authority under the Constitution. It's not up to me or anybody else to determine if it is irresponsible.
Yes. Transparency and all...

Good God. I reiterate: no sense in trying to reason with stupid.

But I never thought Biden would be a good President. Just less dangerous.
To whom exactly?
Biden's disaster of son has been engaged in shady business dealings promising access and kickbacks to the "big guy" in both Chine and Ukraine, also taking money from Russian oligarchs. He was in possession of Department of Defense system login credentials -- all on a laptop HE LEFT in a computer tech's hand.
Crime is surging in every American city and Biden is trying to play both sides of the "defund the police" bullshite.
Biden's reckless spending has forced the US into recession and the inflation he caused has fricked over the lowest earners in this country.
Biden has weaponized not just the DOJ/FBI against his political opponent and regular Americans, holding many in solitary confinement for alleged January 6 involvement -- all without any charges being levied against the majority of them. Now, he intends to provide the IRS with more funding and 90K more agents to take a page out of Obama and Lerner's playbook and go further.
Our Southern border is wide open allowing criminals, drugs, and God knows what else to come across. Hundreds of innocents have died, and probably tens of thousands more subjected to rape, assault, and other human rights violations at the hands of cartels and coyotes to get to the US because of said open border policy.
Afghanistan is back under Taliban control with $90B of weaponry left behind and multiple marines needlessly killed. And the vacuum created there allowed China to move in and position itself for ownership of very important rare Earth minerals.
The UK Parliament, for the first time ever, formally held a US President in contempt.
Biden took a hatchet to US energy production and went hat in hand to SA to beg for more oil. Being energy dependent on other nations is a major national security issue.
Putin, emboldened by our vulnerable position in the energy sector under Biden, invaded Ukraine, and Biden's ridiculous attempts to stymie him only hurt Americans and provided Putin a major economic boon.
Sensing US blood in the water, Russia and China have promised increased collaboration together across all fronts (now India is in the mix with them).
North Korea is shooting missiles again.
China is conducting live fire drills over Taiwan and becoming increasingly aggressive in the South China Sea.
Iran has re-started its uranium enrichment while also plotting the assassination of high profile US Officials.
Biden pissed off India, after Trump worked to improve our relations greatly, over Covid vaccines (and oil) and now India has become closer with Russia/China collaborative.
So I ask: who in the flying frick is safer under Biden's failed presidency?

What was dangerous about Trump? Please provide specifics

To all of the people who support the argument that the documents are declassified, I have some questions.
Time will tell if they were all declassified. Since we don't know for certain yet, I'll be answering in a more generalized manner.
quote:
1. Do you support Trump's decision to declassify all of these documents or do you think it was irresponsible?
That it was Trump is as irrelevant as my support. The Office of the President has the ultimate authority to classify/de-classify anything information under the executive branch. All executive agencies (DoD, DoJ, etc) are delegated the authority to classify/de-classify by the Office of the President who gets his authority from Article II of the Constitution. That the Office of the President delegates this authority to agencies does not mean the office abdicates it.
I have no idea whether any declassification Trump may have done was irresponsible or not because I have no idea what the information is (nor does anyone else posting here).
quote:
2. If you support the decision, will you support all of the documents being released in their entirety without redactions?
It depends on the information. Many times when things are declassified there are still redactions. Ideally, yes I would like to see completely unredacted documents as long as doing so does not imperil the security of the nation. I've long been of the belief that many things are kept classified and/or redacted to protect political figures, agencies and bureaucrats from being held accountable by the American people rather than for the sake of actual national security.

Nuke or no nuke has little to do with prosecution. Like the useless argument over declassification.

I know the vast majority on this board disagree with me, so there is really no need to debate it here. The question was whether I regret voting for Biden and the answer is I will never regret it.
But I'm not "proud" of it either as another poster asserted. It sucked, but I believe it was the right thing to do.
History has proven to us that every thing the Left says Trump did.....was actually something the Left did.

Congrats...both of these are currently happening.

They don't get it. They have no morals so they don't understand how someone else doesn't act like them.
It's why they want Trump gone. He doesn't play ball with the career political thieves.

If you voted for Biden because of an actual policy(immigration, abortion, etc.) then I can understand.....even if I don't agree with it.
But these fricks are actually admitting they're fine with...and these are their words not mine...."suffering under 4 years of Biden" because Trump is too mean for them.

Typical, the classic if you ain't with me you're against me childish tone.
If you literally read what he said, he indicated he'd suffer another 4 years of Biden rather than... That would indicate he's probably not a Democrat. Of course you're too fricking stupid to understand that so you just jump into an attack with the typically 'Meh tweets are hurtful'. Trump and his supporters have made multiple statements where they state they intend to go scorched earth or get revenge for 2020.
This is why adults and people who have a remotely functional brain probably won't support him in the upcoming election.
The republicans could quite literally nominate a turnip and win the Presidency, but with help from numbnuts like you they'll probably lose cuz "Muh stolen electionz!" Trump will win the nomination and the guy is literally reviled by a large chunk of the population for his childish antics.

If you vote for a Democrat you're a Democrat. To suffer for 4 years because OMB shows how freaking stupid you are. To think the destruction of America is better than Trump shows you're a POS.

This. Stop trying to sugar-coat it.
His literal words are "I would rather suffer".....that's all we need to know. He has the mental capability of a child.
Every thing dems were screaming scared about under Trump is happening under Biden.

Those of us old enough have seen bad Presidents come and go. American can survive a bad President, and often thrives after one. What America can't survive is someone who continuously tries to tear down it's democratic foundations.
When you're older, or wiser, you'll understand that.

Yeah....we're 2.5 years into this shining example and are hoping to correct it before it's too late.

I'm old enough to remember Democrats trying to overturn the 2016 election for several years.

I've gone through 10 presidents in my days and lived through Carter, who was a horrible president but Biden has proven he is worse and is destroying our foundations in purpose. I'm glad to see you're opposed to the current damage the Biden administration is causing.

I've seen every losing side protest an election since back to the early 1980's. It's not exactly a new phenomenon. Trump has definitely taken it to a whole new level with the massive amounts of stupid lawsuits, but honestly he had no other choice, because the guy simply can't accept losing.
Hillary lost by such a sufficient margin of Electoral votes, that she new any legal action would just waste everyone's time, so she just bitched and moaned like the loser always does in an election.
Trump on the other lost by even more votes and launched a series of frivolous lawsuits with the hopes that he could get just enough electoral votes thrown out so that he could force it into a "State Vote". This hasn't happened since 1824, and if it ever did happen and they went against the will of the people, it would probably be amended out of the constitution.
While both sides have (and continue to say) they lost the election unfairly for a variety of reasons, Trump is the first to proclaim (with no proof) outright fraud, and continues to lie to this day.
The reason? Not fraud, no crazy ballots from china shite, no ballot mules, none of that shite. He lost the independent voters, those folks you just now spent time making fun of btw. Incidentally, way to try to win them over with your candy coated words.
