No way...he was an embarrassment to the conservatives!
Posted on 7/5/20 at 8:25 pm to AlwaysPutsSeatDown
Bobby ran the state into the ground just like he did with the Department of Health and Hospitals.

Beside the Gustav response, I struggle to name anything he did well.

He landed Nucor.
The list is certainly short.

Jindal wasn’t exactly communicating with a bunch of PhD’s.

I don't know about the best but he is WAY better then most give him credit for.
He enacted massive education reform that we are still reaping the benefit from. Compare his economic performance to JBE (even before COVID) and you will see governors matter.
Oh yeah and he dismantled the charity hospital system.
He did rely too much on one-time money but that isn't as big a deal as the Advocate and Democrats (but I repeat myself) want to make it out to be.
JBE just slapped the budget together with a BILLION in one-time money and you don't so much hear a peep out of the Advocate.
Ethics reform, cutting state employees to the lowest number in 30 years, privatizing agencies, moving colleges toward a money-follows-the-student model (i.e. more TOPS less direct funding) which led to the biggest LSU classes ever. Etc.
For a bunch of conservatives, y'all buy way too much into liberal hype.

The people of this state will regret JBE expanding Medicare.

They were pointless. Kids are being taught to take a test. As for actual learning Taking place...good luck finding those exceptions. This can be seen by anyone employing young people. Are they dumber than prior generations...no. They are, however, more ignorant. On the positive side, at least (a handful) of them test well!

$100 per barrel oil and an economy buoyed by Katrina recovery funds (BILLIONS!!!) may make life a tad easier. JBE is a massive frickup, but Jindal played with house money.
Oh yeah and he dismantled the charity hospital system.
Okay I guess. I am not sure of the impact on hospitals concerning staffing, wait times, and cost. Enlighten me if you can.

Again...JBE is a frick up. That comparison sets a low bar for Jindal imho.
Ethics reform,
Defining a path Illustrating how to legalize corruption is not a positive. Ethics reform, as it was constructed under Jindal, is simply a “how to” on fricking over the tax payers.
cutting state employees to the lowest number in 30 years,
This was great!
privatizing agencies,
So was this!
moving colleges toward a money-follows-the-student model (i.e. more TOPS less direct funding) which led to the biggest LSU classes ever. Etc.
I am not sure that this was a positive. Please explain how you feel it was.

I look at the information at hand. I’m sorry that you feel being educated is unacceptable.

Posted on 7/5/20 at 9:58 pm to AlwaysPutsSeatDown
It dont take much to accomplish this task.

Piyush saw people of this state as statistics and treated them and the state the same way.I have met every governor since Edwin Edwards and speaking with Bobbye was like talking to a fish.He was not a people person. He does not care about the people of this state. After serving 2 terms in this state has anyone seen this guy in public?

How far back do we have to go to find a good one?
Literally every occupant in the Governor’s mansion had something wrong with them that could be summed up in a few words.
Present to 2016 John bel Edwards - a Democrat trial lawyer
2016 to 2008 Jindal- I running for President, deal with it
2008 to 2004 Blanco - Katrina broke her
2004 to 1996 Foster - Hands off, finished I49 and US 90, but gave us Jindal
1996 to 1992 Edwards - vote for the crook, it’s important.
1992 to 1988 Roemer - Besides opening state to gambling, could not do much because Edwards was running a shadow government
1988 to 1984 Edwards - Crook, Corruption years, oil crash
1984 to 1980 Treen - Too slow
1980 to 1972 Edwards - Populist, new constitution
1972 to 1964 -McKeithen - Superdome
1964 to 1960 - Jimmie Davis- Music, you are my sunshine
1960 to 1956 - Earl Long - Certified Crazy
