I just watched it. That cop is an idiot. Obvious the dog is in play mode. Most cops are social misfits that need a badge for self assurance. All those cops are fat. It's also not uncommon for smaller cities to take cop applications that big cities won't touch .

I could call the police, have them write up a report of the things that were stolen and wait patiently while they don't ever catch the perp or I can have my dog attack the perp and disembowel him. I'll choose option 2.

People are saying they'd have killed the cop if that was their dog yet my "people should have control over their dogs" is the hot take
The cop never stops if those 4 dogs aren't running around in the street.

I’m sure you would have gone to a “Justice for Smullet” if you could have

I'm guessing the cop did not want to play, because that's all yellow labs want.
"Ooooooohhhhh oh look a person, I wonder if we can chase each other around....and maybe I can get a belly rub out of it.....yeah!! Yeah!!!"

Lol.... No. They would be both equally pointless to me.

Cop is an idiot and should be charged
Over a pet!? Your life must not have much meaning if you’d throw it away so easily

Why? If someone kills a police dog it’s considered murder of a police officer. Unless you’re fine with cops continuing to have their lives valued more than everyday citizens.

Labs in top 10 of breeds responsible for fatalities.
Sure, outside of the top 2 breeds it gets very rare, but they're still in the top 10.
I know that a well bred Lab is ultra friendly, but many breeders do not care and will breed any two animals even if one of them isn't showing proper behavioral traits for that dog.

Blame the dog for being a dog, nice. There was NOTHING in that video that suggested any of that

let me guess, youre a cop. Make perfect sense why youre such a prick
I'm not a Cop. I've owned and bred dogs for about 70 years. Dogs were a tool, when I was a teenager, on a farm in North Louisiana. They were a sporting companion, hunting dog since. I owned a Lab, best companion I've had.
I'm old enough to understand they are now considered a member of the family.
However, I don't know anything about that situation. But taking in consideration the prejudice towards Cops by the MSM now days, I'll give him some slack until his hearing.

How do you know the dog was being nice?
It hauled arse at the cop, and prior was being held back by the owner.
I'm not saying it was being aggressive, I don't know what it was thinking. But neither do you.
I'm just pointing out this "all labs are nice" mentality is not correct. They do attack.

It shows the owner has no control over her animals, which was part of the problem here.

How do you know it wasn't?
Its a lab. Ive never seen a lab bite or attack a human myself.
The cop was a coward. The default position seems to be shoot first, ask questions later.

Not really, because its a lab. The default position is to lick you, or play fetch. I saw nothing to hint this dog was agressive.
The odds this was aggressive are less than 1%. Cowards overreact.
