We never had a Billion dollar surplus or a Billion dollar deficit, ever.

Denying reality doesn't really negate facts, did you know?

Then be prepared to deal with the consequences of that choice.

Thanks to JBE, this poor as shite state of Louisiana has the highest spending levels ever in Louisiana history and some of the highest taxes ever in the country. And now the state government is the biggest it's ever been with so much bloat everywhere.

And nothing to show for it like a booming economy, healthy jobs market or improving infrastructure.

If you're calling yourself a conservative and still defending your vote for JBE, get the frick out.

Hey genius, Republicans had the opportunity to cut.

And they didn't.

So what would you cut? Be specific.

I would be embarrassed to admit a traitor like Dardenne was my preferred candidate if I was a conservative.

But you're not a conservative so you have that going for you.

FIFY.

Jindal abandoned Louisiana and let the budget go tits up for some bullshite Presidential run that was dead in the water before it even started and I will hate him forever for that.

Burned me badly on wonder boy type politicians forever.

Quit deflecting.

Republican majorities in the House and Senate. They were repeatedly asked what they would cut.

And they didn't.

Did you see Lance Harris trying to testify in Revenue and Fiscal Affairs?

He said he wanted to cut. He was asked exactly what he would cut.

And then he couldn't answer.

It's why democrats need to be skeptical of their golden child Robert Francis.

Wonder Boy type pols are not to be trusted. They put their own ambition first ahead of the people they want to serve.

Because it was useless when the Governor of Louisiana was too busy being the Governor of Iowa.

The Governor of Louisiana is basically emperor of this state and when there is no leadership from the 4th floor, the statehouse might as well be like a herd of cats trying to shepherd itself.

I'm talking about this term, and JBE is not trying to run for President.

And since 2016, there have been Republican majorities in the House and Senate.

When Republican caucus leader Lance Harris was asked directly what he would cut in committee, he had no answer

Why should republicans negotiate with JBE when he can't even control the black caucus in his own party who wants more spending and taxes than even he's comfortable with and is willing to blow up the entire process?

Speaking of weak arse responses you didn't even need the quotes. It's a response whether you think it's a good one or not. It can't be a non-response if he responds. I'm trying to think of another way to explain this that you would understand. Lol.

bet I can cut half the state budget, if given the power. I would cut the frick out of it and smile, never missing a wink of sleep for it. I would be absolutely hated by illegals and welfare queens that vote for a living. I would be despised by liberal college professors. I would cut and go after every sacred cow of liberals with a passion. And don’t say what about the poor people? frickem, move to Arkansas, I’m cutting the frick out the budget, if given the power, like I said earlier.

The people who overstay their visas wont be hurt unless you implement a system to track them. This could easily be done with a biometric voter ID. There are statistically very few "queens" so I assume you mean poor people working for a living who rely on welfare to supplement income. I mean, it's not like making a better state economy would help.

Cutting education funding will hurt more than professors. It will effect all departments and probably lower the educated workforce in the state.

Wow, you just want the poor people to leave. You have no compassion for the working poor of your state, whose purchases and labor benefit the economy. Maybe they should just to move to Arkansas, work there, use their experience and money to benefit AR economics.

No blame it on Republicans arrogance for running an amoral POS.
I’m not voting for any shite head they expect me to vote for.
If Republicans want to win the Governors race run a tolerable candidate.

What kind of amorality are we talking abut here that would negatively affect running state government, staying out of the private sector's way, and keeping spending and taxes low?

We're not exactly voting for a Sunday school teacher here.

Funny how you're talking about being amoral and corrupt when you have this screen name.

If I had my way, I would bulldoze that statue of Huey down from the state capital's front lawn.

It's true. The last Republican governor was a shining example of how conservative economics translate to prosperity.

They did cut, at least in the house. But then Alario’s senate restored the cuts every time.
