You probably should learn the big difference between being "politically correct" and just being "political."

I am annoyed when people extrpolate data that says one thing and use it a different way as the basis for a straw man argument.

So does that count?

So let me get this straight. You're offended over people being offended that give others a hard time for being offended?

That's funny shite

Republicans agree to end their PC police campaign the second liberals end theirs and end their constant race baiting.

So, is a hat sitting in a locker deemed an "athlete making a political statement"?

Apparently. I'm still not sure what the problem was with Brady having the hat.

So, tell me what Lebron has done to have his political opinions plastered everywhere?

What has Tom Brady done where his opinions on Trump are important?

Played sports...and that makes their opinions worth more than others?

I haven't seen your political opinions plastered on CNN.

No I'm saying I don't think their opinions carry nearly as much weight with people as you think they do

Knowing Lebron, if Republicans keep winning, he'll become one soon enough.

I'm not mad at all. People can vote who they want for. This is America after all. My point is that people should actually consider their vote, instead of following a celebrity, and do research instead of listening to someone with just as much political knowledge as the normal American, except with a much larger platform. Celebrities/athletes sometimes don't realize how influential they can be

Right. They just try to ban people from getting married.

I suppose we have to determine what constitutes 'weight'.

Are average folks' opinions swayed by the political outlooks of their favored celebrity or athlete? I don't really know.

Are the political outlooks of celebrities or athletes given more air/print coverage than an average private citizen's? Of course!

What percentage of votes in the last 3 elections do you think would have been different if celebrities didn't voice an opinion either way. How many votes do you think would have gone to McCain/Romney/Trump BUT FOR a celebrity's opinion?

The only articles I found in my quick google search of Kaepernick are fluff pieces. If that's melting, then sure. Most negative articles are about falling ratings. To me it's just exactly what he was going for: relevance after what should have been his final season.

Here is a Time Magazine article about the MAGA hat in Brady's locker from September 2015: LINK. There really isn't a comparison between the outcry over a guy having a hat in what should be a private area of the locker room, and a guy making what was clearly a publicity stunt.
