So you are saying that everyone who is against immigration hires only legal people to mow their lawn? The last three people that cut my lawn did not speak a lick of English. I did not care where they were legal or not.

Illegal immigration is absolutely a problem and anybody who denies it is either blind or using the issue for politics. That being said, most of them work their asses off and have made good lives that could resaonably be folded into the American Dream (aside from the whole illegal thing). The problem is that there are many who don't fit that, and the taxes, benefits, and expatriation of funds are are all out of whack.

So the police who pull over a driver with no license and can't speak English, and then reasonably concludes that they are in the country illegally, is considered "papers please racist xenophobia nationalism,"
But ol' Tangerine assuming that a brown who can't speak English is an illegal is a perfectly logical conclusion.

I wonder if the percentage of money sent back would fall if those illegals were to become "legal"? You'd figure that as legal green card holders, they would probably start spending more of their money domestically (I.e buy house, car, etc.) since they would have peace of mind.
Anyone know if such research has been done? I'm actually curious about this.

Let's stop being politically correct. Illegals aren't taking office jobs. They're taking manual labor jobs that pay minimum wage (or close to it).
Chances are that if you find someone who can't speak English and is working minimum wage for a small business, then they're likely illegal.

You are right. No one is here illegally. And if by some slim chance there are some illegal immigrants here, they don't work and certainly not for cash. . And if they did only Democrats hire them. My bad .
