They're taking it too far with what IDs meet the requirements. And it will fail in the senate because of this.
Tell us what that is and be specific with your determination of "too far".

And to prove you’re a citizen to register, it’s either a birth certificate or passport.
We could stop issuing government issued IDs to non citizens that are indistinguishable from the ones issues to citizens.
But then I guess showing proof of citizenship to get an ID would also be racist or whatever buzzword is being used this minute.
It's tough to enact policy based on the abilities of our dumbest residents.

But if I only had my driver's license, why should I be troubled with finding a copy of my birth certificate to vote?
Perhaps you've never been required to show two forms of ID for certain things, but I have. Simple steps that adults should be prepared for. In my situation it was a basic mistake, where my parents a few hours away were in possession of my original birth certificate. But I was able to get a copy for myself as explained. There are several ways people can provide proof of identity, and many times just one is required. Not that hard.

Did we stop requiring BCs for a ton of things at some point? I feel like we needed it for everything from school registration to sports sign up back in the day.

Yeah, you're right. So hypocritical when she's the only one. Alter or troll.

I expect it's one of the easiest ways to ID, or a starting point to get other forms of ID. It was my fault not having it readily available but it wasn't completely unavailable. Very common for people to have their BC.

It's easy to get a BC, I lost mine a few years ago while moving. I got on Arkansas Department of Vital Statistics website and ordered a new one, it took about 14 days to get it. I think it costs me $15 at the time, might be more now, but it was really easy.
