I swore I heard here Zelensky was a dictator because of the lack of elections in war torn Ukraine but maybe I misheard

They held an election the beginning of 2025 and Maduro lost. There is no need for another election.
Ukraine had a coup, overthrew the govt. Set up a constitution with a clause where no elections could be held during a war, then starting killing Russian sympathizers in the Donbas relentlessly, knowing it would lead to war. The dictator in Ukraine knows he would lose an election thats why he refuses to stop the war.....until there are no Ukranians are left to vote.

Donald says that Machado isn't a viable leader going forward.
By international recognition Gonzalez is the legitimate head of VZ.
That's the reason for new elections is to get Machado on a ballot to make her legitimate.
Trump has not pledged to bring democracy to VZ. What he has pledged is to get their oil back onto the global market without violating sanctions or helping our enemies. That means by "running things" we'll invest in getting their production & sales back near 1 mmBBL/day but they won't be able to sell to China or Russia (helping Ukraine) or give to Cuba to buy arms and men that are loyal to propping up those same people left behind that we will not be sending ground troops up the left bank of the Orinoco to get.
We will simply make sure oil sales increase but go into the pockets of the people who opposed Chavez/Maduro regimes. It will be up to those Venezuelans to finish the job with that money (and the arms they will purchase from us with said money).
