I work in the auto industry and the back-orders are horrendous.
Folks have had stuff on order for months.
Folks have been waiting on their Silverado's for months from the factory with no real firm ETA.

Fauci and Gates aren’t nearly done with this. More people need to die!

Can you be a little more specific on the "shortages?"

My neighbor has had a intake manifold for one of his classic cars on back order since January 2021. So many holes in the supply chain it is hard to keep up with.

Wasn’t Christmas supposed to be ruined by supply shortages? Just keep on moving the goal posts. Fear porn!

Labor has been ridiculous since the Covid measures started and the eviction moratorium. Most manufacturers, like myself, have been just getting by since August of 2021. Capacity of each factory is about 60% of normal since we can’t get enough folks to run all shifts.
For the last 6 months, we’ve shorted, but not enough to result in widespread outages.
Now, we have the same dynamic + Omicron testing bonanza. So, we are missing about 20% of employees in that 60% capacity model. If Omicron and it’s resulting tests don’t subside, we will be shorting significant volume by mid February.
If the vaccine mandate doesn’t get stayed, then it’ll be even worse

Yeah this one was the one I fell for the fear porn. With all the talk of port hold ups, and no truck and delivery drivers, I was sure Christmas would be a mess.
Ended up business as usual.
