No I don’t think he’s wrong that people who occupy certain institutions can make terrible decisions. See J Edgar Hoover. But there’s a way to rectify wrongs without burning the whole dang thing down.
Also there is a long list of things Dems do and have done that I think are awful. But it’s not a defense of Trump to point out Dem flaws.

Did virtue matter when Obama used the IRS to silence political opposition? Did virtue matter when Obama’s DOJ was walking guns to Mexico in violation of US law, killing hundreds of Mexicans, and at least one American? Did virtue matter when Obama sold an unconstitutional healthcare bill, representing it alternately as a fee/fine, and then as a tax to the SC? How about the virtue of telling the American people flat out lies about keeping their doctors and plans, and then saying he was sorry we misunderstood once the damage was done? And what exactly was the virtue in allowing the DNC, DOJ, and FBI to abuse the FISA court to illegally spy on an American citizen?

Here is why people don’t take your concerns seriously
You demand from trump a mode of conduct that you simply do not demand from the other party
You only care about “sowing distrust in elections” when trump does it. You are silent when dems bitch about the electoral college, blame losses on voter suppression, and run around the nation claiming Stacey Abrams is the rightful governor of Georgia. How is that not sowing discord?
You only care about “authoritarian tendencies” when trump does it. You are silent when warren, Harris, sanders, etc promise unconstitutional, big government plans for everything under the sun. You are silent when Beto says he will take your guns.
You only care about lies when trump engages in them. You are silent when “bombshell” after bombshell has to be retracted from major papers.
You only care about corruption when it involves trump. You are silent when it is shown that the FBI knowingly used a false dossier to obtain warrants to spy on members of his campaign and to send undercover agents posing as researchers to extract info from his team.
I can go on and on.
To sum it up, you aren’t opposed to trump’s behavior out of some deep held principle you have in your soul. You are just upset that he engages in behavior and strategy that you think should be reserved for democrats and liberals to give them an advantage.
