no problem there - I registered when my granddaughter first went to LSU, and then didn't post for quite some time. Forgot the '58' part of my ID - took a long time to re-discover who I was on here. (ChineseBandit was already taken)

I was not complaining about Trump's statement - that is what is called good ol' common sense. And I follow that advice in every aspect of my life. Been doing that for many decades, before I ever heard of Trump.
What may have escaped your notice is that I was commenting on YOUR interpretation of that quote, after considering the full record of your prior posts. Yeah - I looked it up because I had never heard of you before. And I discovered that you had never offered a single instance of logic to back up the totality of your 'contributions' to this forum and you exhibited all the symptoms of TDS = 'irrational hatred." And in this case, you got it completely 180deg bass-akward wrong.

I agree. The last time I remember the country being in turmoil was during the Vietnam protests and in retrospect the protesting can't compare with the fallout from this administration's policies as a result of its liberal mindset. Whatever his reasons are for pushing COVID vaccinations, I'm sure have nothing to do with the well being of you and I as none of his policies have done anything to improve the peace and prosperity of the USA or for that matter the peace and prosperity of the unfortunate Afghan people who are now at the mercy of the Taliban. So much for "build back better", he can't do it here nor can he do so anywhere else.

By your numbers, whites are underrepresented by 1.7% and black are underrepresented by 23% as a percentage of their population. A large difference.

191M white people in the US and 40M Black people, so, again, sheer volume makes white people the "majority of unvaccinated".
also, not that youre doing this, but it takes some real frickin nerve for white people who are unvaccinated to pin everything on minorities who are unvaccinated.

Have you not noticed that the vaccines DO NOT prevent infection? How can this medicine stop it dead? Check out Israel's case numbers and vaccination rate. It is now apparent that this virus will be with us for a long time.

I was simply pointing out that blacks are signicantly less likely to be vaccinated, per capita. That is what the OP was trying to say.
I think too many people nitpick at the fine details in a "gotch!" attempt, and it derails the overall conversation.

You people are so short sighted. You're all apparently just consumed with the thought of dying from a virus that kills .3 percent of people it infects.
Here's a damn newsflash. People die. Do what you want to prevent it. But if you want to ban vehicles that travel over 2 mph, eradicate honey bees (or force hourly epinephrine shots), and get rid of all sharp objects while housing the entire population in padded walled rooms, EVERY one of those "safe" persons is still going to die. You cannot legislate immortality or ban things to achieve it.
You can accept the world as it is and have the freedom to make appropriate decisions for yourself and your family.
