CNN's problem is optics.
Think in terms of Obama. They stopped bashing Bush because they could do fawning pieces on Obama's wisdom and Michelle's breathtaking beauty.
They can't do that now. Joe Biden = Horrible optics.
So, they have no choice but to keep bashing Trump.
