do you fly the confederate flag? Do you know anyone that fly's the flag that isn't a racist redneck. tell the thruth.
that flag has never been about Heritage, this board can say that all it wants to but we all know if you see that flag flying on a truck or house 99% chance of a racist redneck flying it.

You have to judge a party by what they represent in present, not what they represented for a different generation.

Honestly, I would argue that 99% of the time people who fly it are attention-seeking and want to provoke a response.

Of course. I see the "rebel" flags as one of the many symbols southern heritage AND the "rebel spirit" many in our country share- not an ideology or racism.
Old Glory always comes first - as you said, we are ALL Americans. My father fought for our country and it's flag during WW2. No one is still fighting the Civil War- except perhaps in our compromised news media. 99% of us are way past all of that, despite what people with agendas want to claim.

You are correct that it has little to do with slavery. It wasn't THE battle flag, it was A battle flag and wasn't even used by all confederate regiments.
It's most significant use was in the 1950s and 1960s when it was used to intimidate blacks and resist forced segregation.
That's the "Southern way of life" that it represents.
I get tired of posting the actual history and significance of this flag EVERY. TIME. THIS. COMES. UP.
So please make a note of it.

Single parenthood isn't necessarily caused by social breakdown. Sometimes it's caused by outside factor or a bad marriage ending.
A bigger reason for single parenthood is that people aren't tolerating each other anymore. We don't have the patience with our spouses and work together to solve problems.
