She was selected after SFAS.
She is not a Green Beret.
She has to complete 18+ months of training.
Besides a woman completed this in the 90s but failed the Q-Course.

And why is there such thing as badass Israeli military chicks,
quote:Sorry, but they’re just not.
but our own women can't be that, or aren't good enough?
quote:I don’t even know what this means.
All you Americans here on the poli board sure do seem to want freedom but yet you can't share with everyone.
quote:There have been exhaustive threads on this subject. All of them full of detailed and logical reasons about how you’re wrong. The better question is why do you think you’re right? I already know your answer.
Tell me why I'm wrong here.
“Because if a woman can meet the same standards then why not?”
Then of course I will give you a bunch of reasons as to “why not” and you’ll just ignore them and tell me some chick you knew in the service and how badass she was or whatever.
Also, your veteran status and party affiliation mean don’t mean dick to me.

Obama's generals will be Obama's generals.

Great battlefield commander, one of the best the USMC has ever had, absolutely horrible SoD. I thought he would change this culture of idiocy in the military, he’s only given it longevity.
He needs to gtfo and we need somebody in the role that will end these types of things once and for all and get this military at max killing effectiveness. Women in the combat slots (women in any MOS) hinder the military’s lethality.

I don't think any woman has ever passed SFAS until a few days ago.

Never met the man, but his term at DOD makes me think it was all marketing.
Which makes sense, generals are almost always politicians first.
It’s rare man who has the skill to lead men, the toughness to make hard decisions, the courage to do the right thing in the face of opposition, and the political acumen to climb the ranks.
If he was the warrior he said he was, we wouldn’t be talking about this latest wave of political correctness.

I think we all saw his quotes and how much us Marines revere him but didn’t really think too hard on if he’d be the right man for the job. I think when Obama got rid of him for political reasons, he understood you have to play along to get along.
The entire upper echelon of the military is nothing but PC hacks, and Mattis is one of em. That’s why the lower levels hate them so much.

It’s gotten really bad.
No one with any sense makes rank anymore.
Hopefully Mattis leaves after 2020, and Trump finds someone else. Maybe there’s some brave Lt. Col out there, who’d be willing to blow the whole thing up.

I have no idea about that war crimes deal. I know the navy finally charged their guys with the murder of their GB counterpart in Mali.

Why the SEALs are involved in FID in the first place is beyond me.

I don't even know why the seals still exist to begin with.

Getting in SF is easier than staying in SF. Women don't have the physiology to endure the punishment the body has to absorb from the constant training.

I did one tour in Iraq and one in Afghanistan. The nature of my job gave me the chance to see a limited amount of women in combat situations. My biggest issue with it is the natural dynamic between men and women has no place in the military combat situations and undermines units effectiveness and readiness.

As long there is no change in criteria I have no issue with this. In the long run the physical requirements will eventually weed them all out but I have no problem with them going as far as they can in the meantime. It gives them something to strive for while serving as a continual reminder to the feminists that there are indeed physical differences between males and females that limit what women are able to do in certain occupations.
