This is literally what communist countries do is they tell kids that the state is their friend and their families are the enemies, and if your parents are saying things that may upset the Dear Leader, just tell your teacher and they’ll “take care of it.” Once they do take care of it and their parents are sent off to the Gulag, they then prop the kid up in the newspapers, radio, and television showing what a true patriot this kid is by standing up to their parents and this is the model citizen you should strive to be.
Seriously, his parents should never speak to him again after that and completely write him out of the will.
