No faith in either US or Israeli intelligence? This isn’t the 1st rodeo.
I doubt it would last 10 days. I also honestly believe that the American Left for support such an action

re: The SAVE act: why not take some of this saved DOGE money to PAY for the IDs directly?

Most states offer a free ID for voting purposes.
And if you are too lazy to bother with the process, you likely are not voting anyway

So it wasn’t a clean bill (single issue or like issues) but an unrelated amendment to deal with a 2021 bill. Voting against the bill undoes a mountain of compromise and hard work.
I despise misleading nonsense.

What makes you think having the legislature appointing the Senate would change that
A) it would a person beholden to the state government.
B) they can be recalled if they do not follow the guidance of the state government
C) it would not be a person looking for higher office and acting in their own interest alone.

Senators already advocate for their state under the current system.
bullshite. They advocate for themselves and lobbyists. The state government has zero representation in the federal system under the 17th amendment. Before the 17th the senators were selected to represent the state government, the house of representatives were supposed to represent the people of the state.
