Cogent response. Really. That may be the best articulation of your side that I’ve seen.

Then I guess you missed this.

African Americans report the highest levels or religiosity/spirituality across all races, so to see the song is about God is not surprising. The hypocrites NFL is just doing hypocritical NFL thing. Goodell will be gone soon, they’re bleeding cash.

Sounds like “separate but equal” to me.
So now that’s a good thing?

If we called the star spangled banner the white national anthem, would the focus remain on the message in the song?

You're invoking God to justify your desire for segregation. Many segregstionists before you did the same thing. Smarter people saw through the deception.

If you're truly a Christian, you'd be ashamed to invoke God and your religion for a foundationally evil purpose.

For years many of you have bitched about the secularization of our society. “Where is God in public events?” you asked. You howled with glee when Tebow prayed in the end zone as you held up your “John 3:16” placards. Now the NFL wants to play a song ABOUT GOD, and you are losing your damn minds. What in the actual frick?

This is an incredibly dumb take and how you do not see it is beyond me. This may be the most ludicrous “gotcha” attempt I’ve ever seen.

I have a question for you, if the NFL played a “White National Anthem” that spoke solely about living together as equals would you have an issue with it?

United we stand, divided we fall.

Separate but equal is inherently unequal.

We should take the son over and call it the "White National Anthem" and see how long this promotion of it lasts.

The counter is that you are consumed by identity politics. The anthem is for all Americans. You are the divisive one. You will reap what you sow.

Right. Because that is unheard of in today’s political world. Surely no conservative would invoke God for political ends. Perish the thought.

I believe that Jesus was the son of God and died for my sins. I believe that He is the way to salvation and abundant life. I believe that he commands me to “go and do likewise.” (If you don’t know what that is, look it up; it’s in the Bible.). That Christian enough for you?

Is it really so hard to believe that someone can be Christian and not conservative?

No, we are playing America’s national anthem. It’s not for a single race or creed or sex, but all Americans. The fact that there is a “Black National Anthem” is incredibly divisive and if you don’t see that, I have serious questions about your cognitive abilities.

How in the ever living hell are we, as a single country, supposed to move past racial division and difference when at eve try turn democrats keeps shoving the differences into our collective faces?

I don't mind the black national anthem. I think calling it that is divisive.

Leftists and their intersectionality believe that RACE is the most important thing about a person. The book that they're all reading "White Fragility" is entirely based on the premise that race matters more than anything else.

They've pretty much convinced me.
