I think they should only be allowed to preach while standing on a soapbox and with no microphone.

Which is why you shouldn't engage random people on the street for clicks.
There's a problem with your blame-the-preacher-game.
The preacher has a 1st Amendment right to do what he was doing.
Nobody else has a Constitutional right to do what they did in that video.
The preacher wasn't threatening anybody and when the drunks got too pushy he tried to leave, but they followed him. He wasn't the one disturbing the peace or menacing or threatening, they were.
And as far as taking videos and shooting pictures to post online, you might as well single out one grain of sand on the beach and ignore trillions of others.
Nice try, though. You made a good run at following the "Must blame Christians" rule.

Some municipalities don't allow amplified sound.
Thing is, it's got to be equal. So nobody else can use amplified sound either.

There is an annoying street preacher who preaches with loud amplification outside of T-Mobile Park before Mariners games.

Why don't we just put everybody that was breaking the law in that video in prison?

Nice woke-speak, but exactly what is her "very identity?" Her "very identity" is who she likes to have sex with and how? That's her "very identity?" That encompasses or describes the essence of who she is?
Understanding how dumb this line of thinking is (yet people still parrot it) is the key to understanding why the LGBTQ culture is so toxic. It's intensely narcissistic.

And put a camera and microphone in their face, it's a recipe for bad things to happen.
I didn't see him put a camera and microphone in anyone's face and I watched the entire video. Can you direct me to the time stamp where that happened?
All I saw was him standing still (until he was chased) and exercising his 1st Amendment rights and those people approached him (repeatedly).

He's also a dickhead.
There is an intolerant, bigoted dickhead in this conversation. Pretty sure it's you, though.

“I was born this way” is the essential point. And it is where I am at odds with accepted Christian theology. It is why I do not attend- though I respect and revere- formal Church and the top down Christian theology taught in denominational institutions/organizations. Organizations which will be quick to defend their dogmatic theology. I doubt that I could even handle the Universal version without causing ultimate confusion and controversy. And they are borderline on the edge of even being Christian ( believing in a Triune Godhead with Jesus Christ as one third of it.
My reasoning is that if God truly judges and rewards/punishes us on OUR beliefs and works as opposed to ITS/HIS will, (both can be true) and “the hairs on our head are numbered “ (implying zero randomness in this Spiritual Universal Paradigm) then the fact that this woman was indeed “born this way” on the basis of God’s Judgement re HER WORKS implies that said works had to have existed before being born into her current life. There is no grey in this reasoning; it’s either or.
The word or concept “Reincarnation” is loaded, given Eastern, long existing non Christian Spirituality. God’s Word - both Old and New Testament- bears witness via “you reap whereupon another has sewn” and “you will go IN AND OUT and find pasture “, and the scenario where Jesus told His Disciples that “this (being John the Baptist) IS Elias who was to come”. Of course the Disciples were confused and asked to understand. And Jesus replied with “let them that can receive (think understand) this saying, receive it”.
Further, given “for it is appointed that a man live ONCE, and then the Judgment “, does not negate the idea of a next life based upon the exact (down to the hairs on our head) “Book of Life “ words, actions and beliefs with Jesus Mercy as THE ultimate mitigating Judgement factor.
“Many are called but FEW are chosen” to enter and stay in Heaven. I think I will see Heaven not long after my last breath, but granted Jesus’s Mercy and His promise to always present Truth in my (next) life, I - like Adam and Eve - prefer to come back to this imperfect World and continue the hard journey of testing and refining my own ‘Self’. As opposed to having Jesus do it for me. That way I can have something of my own to offer God. To each their own though; many may chose to have Jesus perfect their character such that they may enter and stay in the next and ‘no Evil’ Realm.
I think some in OT Judaism still believe in the “Resurrection “ of the body. As do many old Religions. This woman’s non-belief and non acceptance of her Earthly incarnation as being random and she being morally and unjustifiably ‘aggrieved’, and Christians being unsympathetic, is the basis for her outrage and hatred. Liberals/Secularists believe in “Life’s Lottery “, I.e., Universal randomness over God’s Judgment. That is why they are all in on “Social Justice “ via DEI ideology. And will NEVER give it up until Jesus returns.
There is much more to be said but this is already too long for most on this Board (minus Squirrel and Foo) to read and too controversial for most formal denominational Christians to accept. It don’t really matter to me as we will all stand before an infinitely loving Jesus and He will sort it out re our next life. More than just good enough.

Glenn Greenwald is someone I really like in global media, international relations reporting, etc. I would have a beer or three with that dude, no question.

quote:The LGBTQ activist is “preaching” for selfish reasons. They want others to accept their degenerate lifestyle to feel better about themselves.
Preaching religion in the streets are the same to me as the trans LGBTQXWPALH+ preachers.
The Christian evangelist is preaching for the sake of the listener, so that they may hear the truth and be saved through it.
The claims of both are drastically different, as well. The LGBTQ activist has no objective moral standard to use to support their claims, and all their activism is merely their own preferences being shared. The Christian stands on the objective word of almighty God, who will hold all people accountable for their thoughts, words, and deeds. If you reject the LGBTQ message, there are no eternal consequences to be had. If you fully and finally reject the message of the gospel, there will be eternal judgment to endure.
So no, they are not the same.

“ Some municipalities don't allow amplified sound.”(quote wtt).
Muslim Call to Prayer vs Christian Hymns soon to enter the fray. I guess each will get a a daily time allowance. Can’t wait to see our hallowed Supreme Court decide this.

It was never about tolerance.
They said tolerance, but demanded acceptance.
Then, acceptance wasn't enough.
Then, they demanded endorsement and celebration.
But, that wasn't enough.
Now, they demand the suppression/exclusion of contrary beliefs and viewpoints.

The extremism of the left has certainly taken over, but studies all show that Christianity is seeing a surge in this country.
