Especially considering Volker resigned shortly after Guiliani released the text messages.

Volker resigned one day after the whistleblower complaint was released

quote:

His Ukraine investigation on behalf of Trump began and ended before Muellers probe ended- and he was acting as Trumps legal defense.

Months later, he was contacted by the STATE DEPT, and asked to re-engage with Ukraine. He has the text messages and emails to prove it.

March 22 2019, Mueller probe ends

April 25 2019, Biden launches campaign

May 1 2019, Rudy G (speaking about his upcoming trip to the Ukraine to urge them to investigate Biden) said "We’re not meddling in an election, we’re meddling in an investigation, which we have a right to do... There’s nothing illegal about it. Somebody could say it’s improper. And this isn’t foreign policy — I’m asking them to do an investigation... because that information will be very, very helpful to my client". He also said that Trump "basically knows what I'm doing" and indicated that Trump supported it.

If it was state sanctioned business intended to benefit Trump personally (E.g. help Trump 2020 campaign).. isn't that exactly what the WB complaint alleges?

Its not in my nature to say bad things about people, unless I am sure its true and not rumor or speculation, so I hesitate to say this because I am not sure about you. I do know that you are either a very bad troll, or a really stupid sheeple. I imagine that the answer is a bit of both. I suspect that you are paid to do this, amiright? The reason that I think that is if a person responds in the manner that you do, that person is very ill-informed or works very hard to become such an idiot that people like me suspect that you are doing it on purpose for a reason. Troll or Dumbass, which is it?

I think the primary reason Rudy is involved in so much is because Trump can’t trust his own branch of govt. Dems think Rudy’s involvement in Ukraine is proof of extortion and cover up. The far more logical and practical reason this is the only way to investigate. Is he supposed to trust the FBI and CIA to investigate their own illegal activities?
This.

I know I wouldn’t trust any of the IC to honestly investigate anything and I’m sure Trump feels the same.

Barr is the attorney general of the United States of America, NOT the private attorney for Donald J Trump. His job is to enforce the law, not organize coverups.

The president's personal attorney, however . . .

Barr isn't Trump's personal attorney.

He's Trump's wingman.

Barr will go down in America’s history as a true blue patriot who helped defeat the Deep State Dim/never Trumper Swamp or he will be the one to betray Trump and the American patriots.

see you are falsely reading into something that isnt there. you assume it is to meddle in an election, which it is not about.

it is beneficial to trump to investigate corruption. He has been saying publicly he would be looking towards these other countries ukraine australia etc by name. so Following through on his promises would benefit Trump as well as getting credit for exposing corruption from the previous administration. It just so happens the corrupt from the previous admin still remain his political adversaries.

you assume "personal gain" means whatever fits your narrative.

There also aren't a lot of personable, well known attorneys willing to go blaze of glory with Trump, I'm guessing.

I don't understand why people think it's normal for Trump to constantly have to hold his own people's feet to the fire. There are always 10 different excuses about why one of Trump's own guys needs another of Trump's guys to keep him in check and why it's acceptable for there to be drama all of the time.

FTR I don't think Trump should be impeached and think the Ukraine thing is a joke. Doesn't mean I don't think the RG lapdog/attack dog routine is ridiculous.
