You realize this fatality rate and the IFR are completely different, right?

Yes but I was still hoping this fatality rate was also much lower than 4%.

Why? Up until very recently, we've done very little, highly selective testing. What would make you think the mortality rate would be low?

The powers that be are worried about the cases because the death rate is much higher then flu. What are we talking about? I’m 100% in the “this isn’t that deadly” camp, but all indications are I’m that it’s much deadlier than flu.

I would say making that argument with as much as data is being manipulated right now, is a pretty hard argument to make.

Is it more deadly than the flu? Quite possibly. Exactly what that true amount is, I don't think anyone truly knows. Forget about looking at the "from vs with" argument, until we truly know what the asymptomatic rates are, we honestly have no idea. I've seen estimates anywhere from 30% to 75%. That is an absurd range when it comes to calculating the death rate.

Since we really don't know how many people have contracted COVID-19, let's use total population in the calculation:

330 million people

138,030 Americans died of COVID-19

138,030 ÷ 330 million = 0.0004182727

99.95817273 of all Americans have not died from COVID-19.

Covid deaths, about 50k, influenza 70k. Which do you fear the most?

No reason I suppose. I guess the IFR is the more important metric anyway.

It’s all about cases and we have to keep the Karen’s & Kevin’s screeching until a Democrat is elected President. If that’s in November, so be it, if not 4 more years of media lies & propaganda.

COVID-19 could literally start making people into fricking superheroes that cure cancer, save puppies & kittens & clean up the ghettos, and it would still be about the fricking cases.

I still really don't want to catch it. I'm younger than most but I smoked for a long time and damn sure know my lungs don't handle shite well. Been working out but they are still very damaged. I do have a killer immune system though, I kick off sickness like a boss. So hopefully that helps.
