it's kind of like if you ask a friend to help you move one day and they do. Then a couple of years later this friend asks you to return the favor and you not only refuse, but you insult your friend and inform him you would rather sit at home, eat pizza and watch game shows on tv. and then you act surprised that they would be miffed

However, it's funny that you are omitting a big gap in the scenario.
So i asked a friend to move, he helps me. After the move, he then talks shite about me, talks shite about my wife, my kids, tries to get me fired. That friend then asks me to help him move and then stomps his feet when i won't and can't figure out, "why won't he help me move after i helped him move?" Well, there is a pile of shite between the moves that happened that you expect me to just forget about?

In order to do all of that, Trump would have to admit he was wrong. A true narcissist will never admit they are wrong, because they can't conceive of a possibility that they are ever wrong. You are the problem, not them. You have to change, not them. That is their mindset.
