I know a political move when I see it. It is harmless for Trump to ask people to wear one as long as he staunchly stays against mandates. Political compromise at its finest.

Very reasonable request. I'm a Trump supporter. I have considered wearing a mask. I decided not to. Thus, I have fulfilled his request.

He didn’t ask you to consider it. He asked you to try to wear a mask when social distancing isn’t possible. Did you try, and it was just too hard?

Yes. The OP subject line was inaccurate based on the text of the email that it describes. The word “consider” doesn’t appear anywhere in the email. It does say “ it's something we should all try to do when we are not able to be socially distanced from others.”
