Here are two examples for you

quote:

The sector, which fell Tuesday after Caterpillar and 3M reported quarterly earnings results that sent the stocks tanking and the broader market reeling, closed the session as the second-worst performer behind energy.

The companies attributed tariff-related headwinds, and Caterpillar, for its part, fell the most since 2011.

Trump has to and should let it be known that the Fed is putting a damper on the economy.

He's trying to win the midterms snd setup a win in 2020. The average voter has no clue how much interest rate increases slow the economy, so he needs to make it known.

So IB your saying Congress does a better job of not picking certain groups of Americans over others than the office of the President over the last 100 years?

More comments on tariffs by reporting companies

You guys should be reading on a level to understand that article.

You will note Ross and Navere favorite NUCOR is a cheer leader for tariffs and admits they are making a fortune off of their new found protectionism. Perhaps if they spent as much time becoming an efficient manufacturer as they spend in Washington they would not need Ross and Trump punishing their customers.

No I am saying the President of the US should not be able to impose tariffs to secure votes from steel producing states.

Very few have have mentioned interest increases as a coming problem.

I've engaged you in several of your threads and to put it politely, exposed that which you do not know.

This will be my only post here. This is a patently FALSE statement, it is heavily agreed that low interest rates played a part in blowing a stock-market bubble for VARIOUS reasons and that as they returned to normal it would effect the bubble as well...

I am seriously worried about you and your well being off this site. I hope you can compartmentalize your interaction on here and do not bring them to the non e-world.

What's wrong with him saying "interest rates have risen and that is a damper on the economy but the Trump trade war that must be fought is a large supply chain interrupter that consumers will have to pay for". Which is exactly the truth.

So what you are saying is that a man who ran on tariffs and anti globalism should have his power stripped because you don't like it.

Lmao!

It is not false at all. Very few companies have mentioned the very small increases in interest rates will impact their earnings. Point to one.

The latest FED discount rate increase was only 1/4 of 1 percent. Give me a break.

Now you’re trying to change face, this is not what you posted in OP. But to answer your question, companies are still expecting 7-10% earnings growth next year (although not as quite as high as they have been YTD).
