But not El/Elohim/Shaddai/Yahweh/Jehovah/Adonai. THAT deity is REAL.

My bad, just thought I'd share some logic. Carry on.

As is the Iliad with Troy, the Trojan War, the Wooden Horse and all that stuff, right?
I call it the Holmes School of Biblical Archeology.

Victorian London existed. Ergo, Sherlock Holmes was real.

You wanna tell us about your first cause? Let's hear it.

Those of us who believe the Deity of the Bible created out of nothing have no hang ups with supernatural.

Don’t know yet. And that is OK.

There's a distinct difference between "don't know" but know several valid options and "don't know" because you cannot fathom a valid option. "I don't know how that car got a dent in the bumper" is a very different statement and has very different implications compared to "I don't know how that car is levitating and popping in and out of existence."

In any event, if you believe that the Big Bang is an accurate description (it's not an explanation) of what things looked like when the universe kicked off, you believe in the supernatural by definition.

Fascinating, because that's exactly what you just did with various concepts of god(s). This one and that one is false, therefore they are all false.

I did nothing of the sort.

There's some truth to many legends;

A spiritual person knows God.

A non spiritual person doesn't possess the receptors (whatever they may be) to know God.

You can't convince them because they cannot feel or sense the spiritual.

That’s frickin rich.

I won’t keep poking fun at your religion because I feel bad about doing that earlier. I’ll use this space to apologize to RollTide too. No one can be certain about any of this though.

Or lacks gullibility.

poTAYto … poTAHto.

I have always found it interesting that Believers see STRENGTH in a willingness to accept assertions without concrete, verifiable evidence.

In seriousness, religion seems to make some people live better lives. Good for them. If they live better lives BECAUSE they believe, does it really MATTER if their beliefs have any reality behind them?

You think children can cut their penises off and become women, so,

What they feel and see is concrete. Just because you're incapable of feeling it...

I was agnostic until a few years ago when I went on a self examination, exploration of spiritual things. Religion doesn't work for me, but the spiritual side is as real as the superficial, materialistic side.
