Neither tweet referenced ethnicity whatsoever, and the latter merely responded to the duplicity of the erstwhile rift between the AOC/squad camp and the Pelosi camp.
Never claimed ethnicity was referenced. Only pointed out the disparity in using that line of attack with that subset of progressives vs the native borns.

Aight then unpack this shite for me:
I was born in the south, and by the logic of your ilk, I can't be racist. I have an eclectic "culture" due to living in multiple locales both in and out of the south. So if I can't spot the white supremacists, and I can't BE them, then....they mustn't exist. By your own logic.
Care to rebut?

But his tweet referenced nothing with regard to gender or ethnicity.
Again, I didn't claim he took aim at them because of gender or ethnicity.

And? The entire Dem establishment is progressive at this point. He generalized progressives in the first, and spoke of the "progressives" holding the press conference later because it was cogent.
My point is that using that identifier in both tweets, particularly during their televised response pretty much clears up who he was referencing in the original tweet.

I think this is a case of you supplying context that isn't supported by the facts. Again, look at the two tweets in question--the "go back" tweet, and the "distancing" tweet. His ultimate angle took aim at socialism and anti-semitism. Those issues are not limited to foreign nations of any particular ethnic stripe.
I'm not limiting my comments to attacks on those from so-called "shitholes." My overall point, is that it's cheap to use that line of attack on naturalized Americans but not native born Americans. Whether the country of origin is Japan or Haiti is irrelevant.

Then why bring up "foreign-born?" That's the only reason I countered that point. You're the one who brought it up. If we can agree that that wasn't a component, then we can let that point rest, and I'm sorry for the back and forth

What I'm saying is he didn't do that, though. He made no distinction between foreign-born progressives and native born progressives. He just said "progressives." Then a few of the "progressives" who'd been at odds with their party leadership held a press conference, and he chided those "progressives" in question for pushing socialism/anti-semitism.

So you're still arguing that the subject of the two tweets is different? I just don't understand how you can argue that, but agree to disagree.
And by the way, thanks for the discussion. We may not get to the same point, but I appreciate that we can communicate civilly as that doesn't always happen here.

I believe that's an incorrect conclusion based upon the evidence at hand, as I've laid out in my post prior to this one itt.

If such a distinction had been made, then I'd be willing to agree. I'm of a different mind, of course. Hence the crux of our disagreement.
I'll assume we're at an impasse?

Not necessarily. I'm saying that the subject of the latter can't be conclusively said to be the exclusive subject of the former, IMO.

Likewise, and much obliged.

This might be the laziest and most ignorant stereotype the liberals vomit out.

Trump, at least implicitly, uses race, ethnicity and even religion as a wedge for political advantage.

Answer this question: Do the democrats overtly use race, ethnicity and religion as a wedge for political advantage?

No he doesn't. This is pretty dishonest and another made up story to justify your true liberal agenda.
