and yet at least 25% of DEMs want Trump impeached or have him resign....many of whom are pro-choice and pro-LGBTQ

25%? Try like 70%.

As long as he nominates social conservatives like gorsuch to the bench, it doesn't matter that it mocks pence.

Good for Trump. Maybe this will piss off some of the Bible Thumpers who sold their soul (and dignity) to vote for him.

And voting for Hillary would somehow been better? My soul was/is and never for sale. And I proudly proclaim my vote for Donald with every bit of my dignity.

Naw, Like the poster above said, as long as Trump keeps appointing Scalia clones who value religious liberty and socially conservative policies, and actually signs bills and EOs doing that as well, bible thumpers DGAF if he talks shite about Pence.

Hell, even Pence doesn't give a frick.

Actions speak louder than words.

It may be true it may not be. Everyone knows Trump isn't very socially conservative. We also know he loves to take sensitive issues and poke at people...it's his personality. It's pretty damn funny, the guy is great at trolling

Pragmatism. Trump's enemies control the media, they control the entertainment industry, and they control academia. They will use comments like this to bring the full force of their media wrath against him, fund raise against him, and indoctrinate young minds full of mush against him. Don't give ammunition to your enemies.

Meh. Maybe, but I am all for letting air out of the bag (on both sides) and taking tension out of the discussion.

This is why I hate all the gossip mongering in the media these days. Trump makes a comment about wanting nukes at levels from the peak of the Cold War, and everybody loses their mind. I am 90% sure he was saying it like when Bartlet made jokes about the president needing dictatorial powers in TWW.

Most of the time, the press knows it's a joke but only sees a chance to quote him out of context. It's one of the main poisons in the civil discourse these days.
