You would applaud tariffs on foreign countries that tariff our vehicles then?

Because it was the original hub of US auto manufacturing and exploded for decades after auto manufacturing plants in europe and japan were wiped out after WWII
Oh so it was only Detroit exploded after ww2.
quote:
After becoming complacent with their success Detroit got passed up by smaller, more fuel efficient cars in the 70's and 80's from same plus Korea, and it takes awhile to turn a barge around
Ummm…that would be a bad business decision on the auto makers not seeing the disaster that a Dem president created (Carter). It only takes a couple years to fix this problem but either way. The government caused this problem.

Lots more variables in there that you wouldn't understand but sure, let's hear your take
Yeah there are a lot of variables. My take you say? Unions destroyed competitiveness for US manufacturers when compared to the rest of the world. So what do you do at a competitive disadvantage? You try to even the playing field. You ask how? Well you manufacture what the consumer wants and needs. Not what the government forces down the public’s throat. You build plants in other countries to avoid the huge taxation and labor costs in the US. OR you have a president to protect manufacturing by making it competitive to manufacture here.

Do you not understand how exaggeration and hyperbole can be used to make a point? How many murders is a drug dealer responsible for? How about a cartel boss? He's a drug dealer. What's a fact check gonna do? "Trump lied when he said the average drug dealer kills 500 people. The average drug dealer is only responsible for murdering 8.5 people. Orange man bad."
I do. I hate anyone that sells that poison and they should suffer long prison terms that are prosecuted more vigorously
But when you're a former and possibly future candidate for the most powerful seat on earth, you need to be a clear communicator.
On a lesser scale for example - I never said Trump lied when he said the average drug dealer kills 500 people, and you made up some phrasing to make it appear I backed that statement saying it was 8.5 and OMB" Did you not? Or can you link to me saying that?

Sigh. I can't go on much longer. You aren't smart
Who said that? You're making things up. American manufacturing exploded
Could you explain how you think Jimmy Carter destroyed Detroit auto manufacturing? You reference a bad business decision by the automakers not seeing the disaster - could you be specific?
Your last paragraph makes no sense

Help me out with which of your nonsensical posts you're referring to?
Also link to drunk as frick, or otherwise you're just making things up. Again. And again

I was young but remember is disastrous admin. Gas doubled in price but worse than that it was not available. People were sitting in line for hours or even days to get gas. This is not debatable. It was a disaster. The economy was a worse train wreck. Interest rates were in the upper teens. The worst I have seen economy wise until now.
quote:

Well yeah. You had a admin that was incompetent and on purpose caused a fuel (energy) crisis. Our auto manufacturers had really not done anything to combat the more fuel efficient alternatives. Carter let foreign governments flood the market with foreign vehicles and foreign goods while they in return put tariffs on pretty much everything we exported. Our trade deficits at the time were nuclear on the economy. Thank god Reagan stopped the insanity.

I don't need to explain shite to you. She slurs her words and talks like a fricking 6 year old when she tries to explain things.
SHE HAS NO frickING ANSWERS FOR ANYTHING except calling Trump a Terrorist.

STILL - not yet a cognizant post regarding her policies. Perhaps because she HAS NONE. And yet, some posters on this board will cast a vote for this because their bottom line is that they HATE President Trump and push anyone to be elected. Hell if Charles Manson was alive and running today they would support him. Unfortunately votes from this incensed crowd coupled with low IQ idiots will likely contribute to sinking the country. And in effect pissing on a LOT of graves of folks who died for continuing the Republic.

The average people killed by drug operations. The question was clear.

Its a prediction, groomer. You cant fact check predictions

It’s a friendly crowd -but the all his rallies are, really.
That said, that’s the best I’ve seen him do in quite a while - very, very strong.
Here’s to that being a portent of very good things to come…
