This is exactly what I voted for, sure it’s going to be rough, but what you are seeing is the fraud coming out of the system. It’s the only way a common American has a chance, and the reset was overdue..

People are going to complain no matter what he does. I don't believe a lot of these blow hards they let them cry. Give it a week or so and then this will be forgotten about and on to the next thing.

Our economy is just like our military, it’s by and large the strongest and biggest on the earth. We have the upper hand and we won’t lose to inferior nations.

I voted for Trump knowing full well that his views on tariffs were deeply misguided. No administration is perfect, and I never expected to agree with every policy. But the problem with tariffs isn’t just that they’re economically flawed—it’s that they carry real consequences.

Artificially raising the cost of imports doesn’t help domestic producers in the long run; it distorts prices, invites retaliation, and ultimately weakens the broader economy. And when the economy suffers, so does the president’s ability to lead effectively and advance other priorities. In that sense, bad economics becomes bad politics—and that hurts all of us.

People panic over trade deficits without understanding what they actually are. A trade deficit is no more dangerous than spending more at the grocery store than the grocery store spends at your house. You get goods, they get dollars—and unless you’re planning to eat dollar bills, that’s not a bad deal.

We’ve been down this road before. Protectionists like Henry Clay sold tariffs as a way to build national strength, but in reality, they raised consumer costs, stifled innovation, and provoked trade wars that hurt farmers, merchants, and working-class Americans. It’s the same snake oil in a different bottle. What’s frustrating is how many people still talk about tariffs as if they’re economic patriotism, when they’re really just economic self-harm.

I wish the stock market wasn’t collapsing, but Trump was still the right choice. We were also bound for a market recession regardless, this is just the excuse

The company I work for is European owned. They have made some knee jerk reactions that are directly affecting me. I don’t blame trump for this but my employer specifically. Guess I’ll start job hunting.

You don’t blame Trump? So you’re assigning blame to your employer? I would think they have a greater clarity to their future business prospects than you would. Enjoy the job hunting in this climate, and continue to look for people to assign blame.

The only people melting are:

Commies
Cucks
Never Trumpers
Globohomos
Trolls
Retards
Pedophiles
Useful idiots
Pelicans Fans

The same people who melted over Signal last week. And the Hamas students the week before. And DOGE the week before. And Zelenskyy the week before. And trannies the week before. Etc.

They are not serious people.

What if he’s right and his company is unnecessarily panicking?

I'm glad Trump won, but I had the way he's handling these tariffs. The two can be mutually exclusive.

When someone starts a sentence with, "I voted for Trump but . . .", just assume they're lying.
