Since I can first remember hearing what they would say on network television back in the early 80s, I've been hearing all about how we MUST send all this money to nations in Central and East Africa so that they can get fresh, clean drinking water piped in and on demand.

Here we are in 2025, after sending them who-even-knows-how-many tens of billions of dollars to ensure they get clean drinking water, and the people there are still collecting water from mud puddles and running it through micron and Sawyer filters just to have ANYTHING.

The "We Wuz Kangs!" contingency is quick to say they are the ones who built Western civilization, specifically America.

160+ years after the Emancipation Proclamation and I'm just wondering... when will Africans build Africa?

If you go spend a few minutes on ForeignAssistance.gov, you'll be sickened by the amount of taxpayer dollars (aka foreign aid) in billions & millions given to each country you type in the search bar.

$17B to Ukraine
$3.3B to Israel
$1.6B to Jordan
$1.5B to Egypt
$1.2B to Somalia
$886M to Afghanistan
$738M to Colombia
$733M to Yemen
$535M to Lebanon
$440M to South Africa
$425M to Iraq
$246M to Ecuador
$232M to Mexico
$229M to Guatemala
$208M to Venezuela
$193M to Honduras
$190M to Turkey
$169M to Pakistan
$58M to Libya
$19M to Belize
$15M to Germany
$12M to China
$7.3M to Canada
$2.0M to Saudi Arabia

That's just a quick list. It's seemingly endless and fricking ridiculous .

I don't understand how half of our population is on the side of "government" on this issue. How can you be "pro" politicians taking money from citizens and laundering it for themselves through other countries?

I want them to look into if some of these tax dollars going to NGO’s is being recycled back to partisan political campaigns like Act Blue. A “nonprofit “ losing their tax exemption for political sabotage would be delicious. Hit them where it hurts, the wallet.
