Actually there are loads of right wing authoritarians.
Just look through any thread here concerning a cop killing someone.
A LOT of people are fine with authoritarianism as long as it is their brand of authoritarianism.

I begrudgingly read the article, he re-defined authoritarian. Of course he did. Language is fluid with the left. Its much easier to make shite up when you redefine everything so no one can argue with you.

This board is pretty split on cops killing someone. While there are a few open partisans who either always side with the cop or the vanquished, most tend to waver based on the circumstances. Sometimes, police officers are absolutely justified in using lethal force. Sometimes, they’re not. There should be penalties for the latter and protection for the former.
I don’t think someone is an authoritarian just because they support a police officer killing someone who tries to murder said police officer.

There is a big difference between giving advice on how to navigate the world as it is verses how the world should be. One can both caution a young woman against getting extremely drunk alone because it places her in a vulnerable situation where she can be abused, and also want harsh punishment for any abuser.
“Comply in the moment” is advice that is relevant for the world we live in even though it is not the ideal situation.
There is much I would change about our laws, justice system, and methods of policing in this country, but that does not mean that I believe we should have no police.
