Do only Louisiana employees get refunds? Or did you lie about having “50 across the US”

the company gets the refund. i will then decide how to use it. but i know all of my employees and their families will benefit. most of them are in Louisiana. don't think that is a bad thing.

just this one. And only because golfer was so foolish to part with his money to the gubmint that he doesn't deserve to have it refunded.
at this point I'd be satisfied to find out they gubmint refunded to every business except golfers.
Personally I think anyone who voted for Trump 3 times deserves to have their sweet sweet tariff money kept by the gubmint.

"you sound like a great leader"
I'm not real sure somebody who claims publicly to have parted with $15M in the half assed manner you've presented here should be opining on the way somebody "sounds".....

i paid $15M because of the tariff rate at the time of import. could i have done some things differently to offset the extra costs, of course. as i said, it is a complex situation. but i am learning to adjust. it has been difficult at times. margin is down 10% but we are still pushing and working hard to get it back up.

and keeping some customers has proven to be more difficult than expected. some customers are so price driven that raising price by even 5-10% will cause them to look elsewhere as there are many other competitors in my industry that have the products they need.

so these customers are going to find another vendor who can pay the 50% tariff and figure out a way to price the product less than you have?
have you ever considered that maybe those vendors have found a different way to get (some or all of) the tariff paid?
nevermind.........

some competitors have old stock that was not subject to any tariff. and some compeittors are hungry for market share and will cut margin to get it.

also, costs can vary for the same product. for instance, if i make product A in india for $50, my competitor may be able to make product A in china for $35.

i wouldn't say poorly run. we were able to grow from 0 to $100M in 20 years so we have been fortunate. but wanting louisiana businesses to fail....damn.

some competitors have old stock that was not subject to any tariff. and some compeittors are hungry for market share and will cut margin to get it.
so some competitors just have $1M items laying around "old" and in stock?
and they have so many of these laying around that the "not subject" to the same tariff you are is significant.
so you operate in a business environment that is competitive enough to have "competitors who are hungry for market share" and you think the best way to compete is to do nothing but pay the tariff imposed, (at the moment of delivery which in your example of whip sawing tariffs just happens to be the peak point).
you seem to know a lot about your competitors business model and how they are able to be more competitive in a tough environment.
you seem to always have a reason why you're the only guy in this supply chain who's at a disadvantage.......
you should really stop posting about this........

no see, some competitors in this highly competitive market (this mysterious highly competitive market) are so hungry for business that they have "stock" that just been sitting around waiting to take advantage of poor golfer and his need to pay the tariff.
Because God forbid golfer require the manufacturer who has chosen to manufacture said mysterious product in whatever shite hole country he's been buying his mysterious product from actually bear the cost of the tariff for the product they want to continue to ship into this highly competitive market.
Golfer fellow competitors will probably roll over and pay the full boat of the highest tariff rate possible too...... as soon as they've run through their "old stock" which wasn't subject to the tariff.
