My previous answer I included the student body. I went to MSU 2010-2013 and most of my professors were conservative or non political. But I was Agriculture and Economics so my classes were all farm based or finance/accounting/economic based which tend to be right leaning. I had a marketing class with a woman who was left leaning but not a radical
+1 on a near exact same scenario with AG professors at State; though many of my GIS and engineering professors were born in foreign countries and so their worldview wasn't nearly as simplified as "muh progressive values."

I also received a minor in business, and that's where I ran in to my more liberal instructors and professors. Did the marketing professor have a Karen hairstyle (e.g., short, blonde hair)? Mine did, and she'd have marketing students sit in on her class because her lectures were so good. She was a fantastic lecturer & a fantastic teacher overall, and, at least at that time (this was 2007+ when I went back to school after getting an AAS), her left leaning ideology was a very reasonable one. Now? Well who knows nowadays, as I know many liberals who've been emboldened and have fallen off of the ship of liberal ideologies and onto the ship that has us headed to hell in a hand basket. One would reason that it's hard to be a proponent of Communism when your entire livelihood is based off of free market ideas and concepts in order to market products to as many buyers as possible. I got my money's worth out of that class, even if it was marketing.

Regarding being the target of the fury of a progressive mental midget who I was paying to teach me information, I only had one run-in, and it was with a large-and-in-charge bleeding heart female TA from the north country when I answered a question that someone had asked that was along the lines of, "So just what ARE people from up North known for? Food wise?"

I answered, "Casseroles." but in a sarcastic, disgusted way, and not very loud.*

You'd of thought I just told the fat pig that I'd shot her dog (excuse me, "fur baby") and seined her pond without her knowing it. It was an "offensive" comment to her; never mind that pesky 1st amendment trumping her "right" to NOT be offended. Not only had her body mass reached maximum density, but the offense I committed against her love for casseroles sent her into maximum offenses mode.

Other than that most of my professors were alright folks, and many of my Indian and Asian ones and myself were fairly like-minded. In fact, some of the finest men I will ever know were my Asian, Indian, and Middle Eastern instructors, and the same goes for the same ethnic groups in my every day life and my friendships with them.

(*Disclaimer: It's not that I hate casseroles, it's just that I think they're boring, and IMHE they are a chicken shite way to feed yourself and others. Plus the word, "casserole" does not inspire images of delicious, unforgettable food, because many times it's not. Test yourself: The next time you're at an eating keep an eye on some of the more "English pea and half melted, cheap packaged cheese on top" type casseroles: Don't nobody want that shite, and the chef who cooked it should be ashamed and disgusted with themselves for such a lazy effort. I've a right to an opinion just like the fat pig TA casserole lover, and to me the word itself conjures up images of "Connie frum Minnesooota" who made the very 1st one with pickled pike, English peas and Kraft mayonnaise on top as the miserable climate she lived in spun up yet another winter storm outside her frozen shut door. In short: "Casserole" reminds me of that miserable, fat, heart disease having lethargic teaching assistant. And yes, I'm completely at ease admitting the images produced by my mind's eye are not historically correct. Even so, I meant no offense, both then and now, to the casserole lovers of the world and the board, but I won't apologize for my convictions and life experiences. It's just that I don't think "casseroles" when I think "southern food" and how that entails our legendary, renowned cooking and dining. In fact, I don't think "legendary" at all when I think of Yankee cooking nor casseroles; I think of...well, casseroles and Connie frum Minnesooota. And don't judge me: We are all bigots in our own way- even that fat pig bleeding heart progressive TA who loved casseroles and who loved Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs and thought it was cutting edge shite; even though every single business class I was ever in- and they were all stupid easy- taught the damned thing and we could do it in our sleep, if for no other reason then because it was common sense stuff. Just like casseroles, she has a right to her opinion on Maslow's stuff, and so do I, so please don't judge me. Debate me, but please don't try to cancel me for my opinion and free speech on casseroles.)

Never thought I'd run into a wall of passionate casserole text on the PT board.

Baylor has somehow become a super lib campus.

I was going to say Baylor until I read your post.

When were you there? I was there from 93-95. Finished at LSU, but Baylor is near and dear to my heart. I remember the dancing at school sponsored parties being a big issue in the day.

Surprised to find out it’s a big lib conclave now.
