Debatable. Look I'm not anti Elon, in fact I think he's fascinating.
But you're talking about a guy who is in the Oval all the time and who is the head of a movement (largely big money and big tech) that will have a say in this administration. And their vision of change, while having some big ticket overlaps with a lot of us, probably has a very different fundamental core purpose.
We see that in concepts like tech immigration, where that class thinks the persuasive argument is about merit above all else and GDP above all us. I don't think that's the position of the populist right that dominated MAGA for years prior to Elon. Personally, I don't care if we lead every productivity category if the makeup of the country is unrecognizable.

You think Trump is going to go against everything he believes and has run on bc he spends time with Elon? The man has a pretty solid record of not changing his views despite constant pressure
