You are embarrassing yourself. There are excess deaths. No amount of mis classification of deaths creates MORE DEATHS.

NYC has a higher death toll because they have a lot more infections, probably 20% or more of the city.

No. I'm honestly curious how someone arrived at that number so recently as it doesn't seem even remotely plausible at this point.

I'd argue 70K is probably a pretty optimistic projection at this point

Dudes not bright at all. Hes been hoping for a higher toll. It's weird

Whatever the number it is at the end cut it in half and that's more likely the correct amount

The New York study that came out a few days ago is the perfect petri dish to test these ridiculous numbers. The study stated approximately 94% of people who have passed from this disease had underlying conditions. Extrapolate that number nationwide and you have a true number of deaths caused solely by the virus at a few thousand when it's all said and done.

All the pie-in-the-sky numbers are BS.

What?

You think someone with hypertension and diabetes was destined to die anyway?

The reality is that the majority of patients over 65 have hypertension or diabetes. They aren’t dying from their blood pressure it’s just a confounding variable because it’s so ubiquitous in society.

There is some fudging of the numbers but no way it's this bad

Everyone is destined to die eventually

But having hypertension or diabetes doesn't mean you were going to die within the next year

Wait, you mean to tell me if you exclude two states or just subtract a big chunk of actual deaths from the death count the number is lower than the 60k projection?

You should work in IR.

You mean to tell me you want to include two huge outliers in decision making that will affect 330 million people?

You should work in government.

Say it 50 more times. Doesn't make it a fact. Shw some official data. Not a 3rd rate graph from a 4th rate Brittish tabloid.

This is how the government advances its narrative...with money. Need more COViD-19 deaths to justify your draconian edicts, incentivize the reporting of deaths. It is the same as with Climate Change. Scientists that want federal grants need to push the man-made Climate Change narrative. States that want federal funding are coerced to agree with certain positions or laws.

It depends on How the deaths are counted.

If you count if someone has heart disease, obesity, diabetes, COPD, and also tests positive for Covid-19, and you count their death as Covid-19 then yes we will have 100k or so.
