I was at the gym yesterday and I looked into the aerobics class room where they were doing a live aerobics class. Some dude was in there wearing a mask. How the frick are you supposed to breathe while wearing a mask and exercising. If you are working out hard enough you can barely breathe without one

Same. I don't even own a mask. Most place I go to don't require a mask and the places that do, most folks ignore it.

I'm here and here are my Top 10 face masks. Since that Duke study a month ago, my Top 10 has seen a little shakeup. Due to efficacy my top two masks are now the three ply surgical mask and the N95. When flying, I use an N99.

I literally just stopped wearing one, period. Even in places where the signage clearly says "[store] requires all customers to wear a mask", I just stroll right in past the person at the door who's supposed to be enforcing the rule.
I'm sure it puts that person in a pretty awkward situation, but I just refuse. I keep expecting someone to ask me to leave, or some liberal bitch to mouth off about it, but two weeks in and so far so good.

The only incident I have had with someone pestering me for not wearing a mask was back in April, BEFORE there were any mask mandates by either the store or the local/state government.
Some fat frick who looked like the guy from Joey's World Tour was badgering me inside Kroger for not wearing a mask. Then some other customers also joined in with him to shame me.
Only instance.

And masks don't help them one iota in that department. I've said since day one the masks should be made so I don't breath in your germs instead of breathing out mine. If I'm certain I'm not positive then why should I worry about breathing on someone but not worry about some total stranger breathing on me that I don't know if they're infected or not? Makes no sense to me at all. I liken it to wearing a mask to keep from inhaling smoke from forest fires. There's a reason for that. You don't want to get the shite in your lungs.

Over the past month or so I have stopped wearing them even inside of stores that require them. The only time I have worn a mask in that time frame was to get on an airplane, and even then I sat by the window in a row by mself, and had it down the whole time and just slowly sipped on my water bottle. No flight attendants bothered me. Didn't wear it at all in the airport except to get by the TSA agents.

What I don't get is the temperature checks. My gym does temp checks... why? If I had a high temperature, I sure as hell wouldn't be going to the gym. Because when you have a high temperature, you generally feel like shite and don't want to work out.

I hate masks. I also am willing to make a small sacrifice for a short amount of time in the grand scheme of things to reduce the spread of the virus in public places for those at risk (wife is 9 months pregnant, so I have some empathy). A vaccine is soon on the way. Stop crying it’s getting old.
