The cult members can't fathom this. Everything has to be the best thing ever or else you have TDS.

I'm old enough to remember when conservatives were saying that liberals/democrats had Bush Derangement Syndrome when they didn't fully support the Iraq invasion and I think history has fully shown that the group think that you see on the right is incredibly dangerous for the country.

And by me saying that right wing group think is dangerous, that doesn't mean I don't think it happens on the left. But not even close to this scale.

I'm just happy you can count.

Not ONCE has a answered the thread topic question of "who isn't compromised".

The thread topic was "who's not comprimised besides Trump". I don't think thats accurate because he might be one of th emost compromised politicians we've had in a long time, and definately the most compromised president.

You should really take a deep think and figure out why you get so incredibly upset when someone says something you disagree with. Do you think it's healthy that you want to live in a little bubble where you only hear worship and devotion towards your dear leader?

The CIA would murder anyone that exposed their illegal activities.

America already suspects it, we just need proof and justice.

Is that a spellcheck casualty or are you coining a new term?

New term that I have been using.

Very few people don't have TDS.

The populists on the right have Trump Deification Syndrome.

The populists on the left have Trump Derangement Syndrome.

But pretty much all populists have one of the two types of TDS.

Oh, of course it does.

The left was taken over by populists decades ago. The left is the original Hive Mind. It's the right that is late to the party.

The reason you think that is because the thought influencers for the past umpty nine years have been vastly dominated by the left. Academia, entertainment, and media.

See, populism demands an unreasonable degree of discontent. And it creates it by offering a steady stream of conspiracy theories and doomsday predictions. It distorts reality and makes both sides forget that we live in the wealthiest, most comfortable for the most people, safest, least racist, most egalitarian, least abusive, freest society that has ever existed on planet Earth with the most redress for civil rights violations, unless you count the Garden of Eden or believe in Atlantis.

That's why populists on both sides will sit in a $650,000 McMansion and type stuff like, "WE'VE GOT TO BURN IT ALL DOWN AND START OVER!!! WE'VE GOT TO SMASH THE PATRIARCHY!!! WHITE SUPREMACY IS THE BIGGEST THREAT TO AMERICA!!! WE'RE LOSING OUR DEMOCRACY!!! THE DEEP STATE IS CONTROLLING US ALL!!!" on their $3,000 computer while sipping an $18 latte that they had delivered by ordering it on their phone.

Populism has divorced people from reality.

Your perception that the right is "worse" is influenced by the fact that the thought influencers regularly ridicule the right's conspiracy theories and doomsday predictions while affirming the left's.

Climate Change—at least in so far as all of the practical predictions, i.e., how it translates to what actually will happen on Earth, is a doomsday prediction of the left. I'm not aware of a single significant prediction going back to the 1960s that has ever come true. We don't have global starvation due to overpopulation (in fact, populations are shrinking, which is a problem). We still have polar bears. People are not spontaneously combusting into flames (o.k., that was hyperbole).

What is obvious is that whatever validity exists in the popular presentation of CC relative to data collection (and even that is debatable), the scientists have no fricking clue what that data actually means in terms of being able to predict the consequences. Yet the left (including those thought influencers I mentioned) not only doesn't question it, they consistently double down on it despite the continued failure of the predictions to manifest. People are still lying down in the street and throwing soup on art in the UK over it. Someone tells us every 6-8 years or so that doom is going to happen in 6-8 years if we don't turn back, then they just rinse and repeat when it doesn't (like evangelists in the 80s predicting exact dates for the Rapture). The left doesn't care. Just like the right populists don't care when their conspiracy theories don't pan out.

Russia, Russia, Russia is another example. Even though we know that was an absolute deliberate hoax suborned and paid for by Hilary Clinton's campaign lawyers through Fusion GPS, some people on the left STILL will not only not admit that fact, but will still insist that Trump is guilty of collusion with Putin. If the right claimed the same thing about Biden, what would your response be?

Hunter's laptop is another example. Clinton going around for four fricking years claiming that Trump "stole" the 2016 election is another (and if you didn't know, the Democratic Party did file a lawsuit alleging that very thing right after the election). But no one calls her an "election denier." I can pull up and post as many pictures as you want of various groups forcing their way into the Capital building and protesting various things over the years. Yet none of them were arrested and sent to prison for "insurrection."

Since you brought up Bush, I'll close with this one. I remember watching footage after Katrina and seeing survivors telling the camera that George Bush created the hurricane to kill black people. That was over 20 years ago that people on the left though the government could control the weather and manufacture a hurricane.

During the 2024 Iowa Caucus people (not a majority, but it was more than 1) on this board were posting that "they" made the weather bad for the caucus to try to suppress turnout and hurt Trump.

That's a perfect example of where we are. The left has been crazed by populism for decades. The right is catching up fast. The reason you think it's just the right is because the thought influencers affirm the left and ridicule the right (when they should be ridiculing both).

Your tribal populism is showing (again.)

Trump's pretty pedestrian on the corrupt politician scale.

Biden's business conflict's of interest were worse, and his weaponizing LE was WAY worse than anything Trump has done.

The problem is that the more that populism takes root and the more people don't care what "their team" does and the more behavior they excuse for tribal benefit, the worse this stuff gets.

Republicans are always going to scream about Democrats and vice versa. That's not what keeps these people in line. Their own base is what keeps them in line.

And populism = no accountability. For either side.

Tell it like it is brother.. The TDS crowd on here know this but he could cure cancer and they would claim he doesn't like doctors..

100% agree! Can you imagine being so stupid that these Democrats (like those who pretend not to be on this board).cannot give the man credit for each and everything that he does for this country?
