I will tell you why... We have raised a bunch of kids who think socialism is the way, and AOC is their Goddess.... I paid for an expensive high school private education and a VERY expensive college education. They started out debt free with a car and a lot of other perks... They can go bust their arse and save and do what I did...
They made their bed now I am gonna spend it all and let em lie in it. Isn't generational wealth systemically racist in your young twisted, thought processes..?? White peepo money is made on the backs of POC's,right? Why would you want it? Good luck with all that. Elections have consequences.

Because baby boomers have always been selfish retards. The government and big corporations you love to complain about so much? All run by baby boomers for the last 40-50 years.
Despite their parents suffering and fighting for this nation, the baby boomer’s entire existence is built on “my dad was too tough on me!” So what do they do? Raise their kids with minimal discipline, then complain about how terrible millennials are.
Boomers spent decades saying, “I’m workin hard so my kids can have a better life!” then turn around and whine about how easy their kids have things.
It only makes sense that these selfish cocksuckers would piss away every last penny (and beyond if they extend themselves deep into debt, which most of them have) rather than establish a legacy of perpetual wealth for their children and grandchildren to continue building upon.
Raise your kids with good values and leaving them large sums of money won’t be an issue. Problem is, baby boomers fricked up the first half of that equation.

My guess would be that most of them (percentage basis) got very little from their parents and they now view that as a good thing. Most of THEIR parents were depression era kids and never really had much of anything and just worked their entire lives. And, these baby boomers made it on their own and they don't want their kids feeling entitled to anything because we've seen what happens to a society where people feel entitled.

Anyone surprised by this news wasn’t paying attention in 2009 when boomers got EXPOSED; they earned money in the most prosperous decades of our nation’s history and managed to piss all of it away by living far beyond their means. Well you little parasite why should anyone give a bloodsucker like you anything? Obviously you haven't earned it. The government is going to take 55% of whatever is left anyway. If your parents sent your dumb @ss to college they figure you can make your own living. One of the reasons "Boomers" are not leaving as much to their parasite children is many of them live at home eating up money that could have been saved. I was 61 When my last parent died, thankfully he left enough to bury him. Why at the age of 61 would I need money? I prefer the money I have to be money I earned.

Ok, I'm a 66 year old boomer. My parents did not raise a cripple. Both worked and did not have a college degree. My father was a veteran of the Korean War. They taught all 4 children to be hard working, good students, self-sufficient and take no handouts. My grandparents gave us the same message and I raised both of my kids in the same way. I earned a degree in Chemical Engineering and also worked during that time to help with the expenses. While working I also earned an MBA. After 43 years, I retired in October 2019 as Director/General Manager of Licensing for a large chemical company.
Ever since my father retired I have helped them in managing their investments. As I saw the balance steadily increasing I encouraged them to spend more money on things they enjoyed. My mother expressed that she wanted to leave something for us to which I said, spend you money, we have done great and don't need it nor do we want it. It's yours, you've done enough.
I have already informed my two that if I am found dead on side of the road with a quarter in my pocket I have mismanaged my money.
My grandparents in inherited no money, my parents inherited no money, I will inherit no money and my kids will inherit no money. Each generation has done better than the previous. If you think inheriting money has anything to do with success or that someone is being selfish, you are a cripple.

My parents worked through Korea and Vietnam for the government. My Dad served 28 years in the Air Force, he enlisted at the age of 16 in 1945. You are right my fathers parents were dirt poor, he got his first new pair of shoes when he joined the Air Force. I went to work as soon as I could because I didn't want to be a burden on them. My kids are both successful and would not think of taking money from us even though we gift them heavily. That said for lowlife scum like the leftrat handouters here screw them.
