Because the Constitution says that they do.

I understand that you are embarrassed by your lack of reading comprehension which caused you to post this in response to me saying illegals didnt have the constitutional right to an attorney, if they are only charged with a misdemeanor.
quote:
Are you acting under the misconception that a US citizen is entitled to appointed counsel in a misdemeanor case
But did you have to double down om stupidity?
At what point in your post did you address falsely claiming that I thought US citizens arrested for a misdemeanor were entitled to an appointed lawyer. All you had to do was say, yeah, I misread that. But to then go on a screed about why its still only a misdemeanor Maybe you should have done a little research before being a dumbass again
So here we go:
quote:
Entering the United States without being inspected and admitted, i.e., illegal entry, is a misdemeanor or can be a felony, depending on the circumstances. 8 U.S.C. § 1325.
So we can make it a felony, but we dont. And heres the icing on the cake
quote:
The “Sensenbrenner bill,” would have made simply being undocumented in the United States a felony. Although passed by the House of Representatives, the bill was rejected by the Senate after massive street demonstrations around the nation and sharp criticism of the provision criminalizing undocumented presence. Senator Harry Reid (D-Nev) attacked the bill as “mak[ing] criminals out of and demoniz[ing] a lot of hard-working people who are just trying to provide for their families.”
The DIMs laid down for their voters. Thats why.
You rarely know what youre trying to talk about. Go back to posting on reddit

The two Rogers more based than Beatles, who could never deliver live sound to the masses.
The other Roger is Mister Waters.

Because those rights were granted by God, not the government.
If our founders didn't recognize that, then the government could take them away.
Speaking of the Bill of Rights only.

There's a reason USSC votes usually go down the political line. People "understand" things how they want to "understand" things.. and that's primarily based on your political affiliation.

I've never seen a better example than this thread of how stupid some people really are.

Illegal immigration to America is a relatively new phenomenon.
The founders never envisioned bordering a third world country with 130 million people.
If they knew that there would be a time in the future where people were crossing the border illegally, they would have written the constitution differently.
You started off strong but had a whimper by the end.
"Illegal immigration" is a relatively new phenomenon because it was just invented about 100 years ago, by Congress.

. Unless I missed it, the older, more original parts of the constitution don't grant rights to illegal aliens
Incorrect.
The 4th, 5th, and 6th Amendments all apply to anyone on our soil. Its not just the 14th and its progeny.

They do not get the same rights as Americans.
The government cannot deport a citizen, for example.
Everyone in the country has the same rights prior to an adjudication of illegal status though.
Does anyone think that is bad? Otherwise there are no safeguards stopping the government from just declaring whoever they wanted, political enemies for example, as an illegal and doing whatever they wanted to them.

Does it actually say that? Like in black and white?
Or did someone interpret a passage in it that way?
The Declaration of Independence, strongly suggests that they do. But the D of I is not legally binding. Amendments 1 through 8 should apply to all humanity.

Lib, you can go frick your self with your daddy’s sandpaper dildo. We are in charge now and don’t care about you or your opinions. You had your chance the last four years and did nothing but lie, steal and cover it up. If you had any education, any at all, you’d know that illegal immigrants aren’t given the same rights as citizens. Hence the term “illegal”. It appears that too many dicks to the face messed up your ability to learn or you would have gotten this info in seventh grade civics. Also in case you haven’t heard, there are only two genders. #justblewyourfeeblemind

No.
Trump has you morons ready to amend the Constitution. Next up..."we don't need that First Amendment, and might as well get rid of the Second while we're in there."
