Religion makes people feel better, medicine can ACTUALLY make people better. Confusing the two is one of the great mental tricks the human minds performs.

Regardless, it's about outcome. Placebo, TM, Lamaze, Biofeeback, Hypnoses, Faith......it's all about outcome.

You'll see.

And studies show that faith and prayer have no impact on health outcomes. Family support does, and the attitude of the patient does, but belief itself is demonstrably useless in relation to outcomes.

It also helps people do better. That's the larger point.

So all of the disciples who wrote about Jesus and the many who were described as being touched by his ministry were all simply liars? Or perhaps people like Peter, James, Luke, Paul, etc. didn't exist either and were mere figments?

The gospels were not written when and by whom you think they were written.

No, the gospels were not written when and by whom you think they were written.

True, but that goes for people who are happy regardless of the reason why.

The point is you failed to mention any of those things.

No, you made it seem like peoples faith doesn't "really" make them happy.

Even outside of faith, mental state has very much to do with happiness and making you just "feel" better...

Define treatment, because in certain instances, yes, it can.

What if a person was say, diagnosed with Hepatitis, but never received treatment, believed that God would heal them, and upon another round of test was clean?

Given that hepatitis, especially hepatitis B, frequently resolves on its own I wouldnt so much as give it a second thought

I'll pay attention when someone spontaneously regrows a limb.

Nope. Not even close. That goes to either "Discrimination" "Hate" "Prejudice" or "Rights".

I have a friend who is a hardcore hypochondriac that proves otherwise.
